Going to start practicing it today, that way I can play it as well as I can in 20 years when my daughters will be getting to around marrying ages. And then if I have grandkids, I hope to be able to play for them when they get to the marrying ages.
@lucaslandi8178 So far, I've only been playing 1.5 years. I have a long journey ahead to get better at it. Also, I love drop tunings, they seem to really open up the guitar to a more classical sound than standard tuning.
Made me cry. Probably because I lost my dad 3 years ago and when listening here, it reminds me the time when I learned to play guitar, in the 90s' when I was 11/12 years old. A time where my dad (guitarist too) was still from this world and for long. And probably because I found this score really beautiful, and pretty well played too. Thank you for sharing.
this was just what i was looking for, im more of a rock metal guitarist but trying to broaden my style, ive now subbed and will be going through your videos (once ive mastered this one :))
Peça musical fantástica, simplesmente apaixonante! Certamente será a próxima canção que aprenderei. Muito obrigado pelo tutorial! Saudações do Brasil 🤝🇧🇷💟
Probably a good idea to put drop d tuning somewhere more prominent like in the video description so when people play along in the full speed version it doesn’t confuse them why it doesn’t sound the same
Intermediate player here. Paid for these tabs and bought a half decent classical guitar solely to learn this piece. I'm going to give it my best shot and post on You Tube when I'm done. Let's do this. Watch this space!
@@my_guitarThank you for your kind reply. I have spent literally weeks looking for the best tuitional video that represents this piece in all its glory. Your video won by far. Beautiful playing.
@@my_guitar well i cant post any videos rn because i have school but the i can tell you guys how i composed my own rendition of it.I first took inspiration from per olov kindgrens arrangement and took some ideas of the keynotes of the parts of it
its like a vamp passacagalia, but i took inspiration from Yunus guitars cannon in d ,and mixed some parts of the beginning from this vid(my_guitar).then on iwakis cannon in d. then i tried getting the key of each set that was being played. And that how i pretty much composed it
Hello, "My Guitar" friend. Nicely done! I like the 2 opening chords on the higher register, than the open position I've used all these years--lol. I do the Jason Waldron version from his book "Finger picking the Classics" (I love that book), it has all the parts-- very similar. I posted this on UA-cam.... "way back machine"---2008 (Jerry C's version was all the rage back then too)...I got 92,000 views... until Google took over UA-cam. The view count hasn't budged much since. At any rate I subbed. 5 STARS! --Van
Willing to learn this in 2 months tops. Why rush a good thing? Thank you! 🤘😔🎸(love the dissonance added for good measure reslly grabs the ear beging resolve...super well done!!! 🤘😔🎸)
Beautiful performance. Can you do me a favor... can you tell me what arrangement are you playing? Every great classical song is interpreted and arranged by amateur and professionals alike. I've studied this song for quite a while. As an amateur guitarist I want to give credit to the official arranger of the song. It almost sounds like a variation of the Per-Olov Kindgren arrangement played by Per-Olov himself. But there are small variations present and it appears to be a bit longer version. I would appreciate it if you could provide the official arranger of this beautiful variation... thank you.
Bruh... I still gotta learn bar chords, tho... lol ...not only that, but finger picking with practically all your fingers on your right hand is crazy. I can only somewhat use my pointer finger and thumb for the most part... I also noticed you're using alternative tuning... very neat. I've always used standard (EADGBE) tuning. Anyway, thanks for the lesson. Ill keep practicing. I thought I was good, but meh. Lol 😅
Thank’s so much, really appreciate this 😊 The Lord’s love + grace be with you His Hope + peace, in Life, and beyond the grave Hope you are all well and resting in Jesus saving love + grace 😊 Warmest Love + blessing’s friends 😊
When you say "low E string to D", do you mean PHYSICALLY low E string, or by pitch? ...Like, the top/thicker E string, or the bottom thinner E string? I'm guessing the top thicker one...
Going to start practicing it today, that way I can play it as well as I can in 20 years when my daughters will be getting to around marrying ages. And then if I have grandkids, I hope to be able to play for them when they get to the marrying ages.
Yes, my friend! Practice and practice. Give yourself to the instrument. Such a joy

It's never too late to learn an instrument! Do it!
You can do this, good luck👍😊
i don’t think they’ll be that impressed. They’ll probably still want to marry someone else.
When the world ends, this should be played as the last piece of music
I can turn off the internet for today because I won't read a better comment 🤗
I know right, it made me stop in my tracks and think of how beautiful that'd be.
It's often played at weddings so a lot of men do hear it when their world ends 😅
That made me think of Yuna performing a sending.
As the sadest story ever told..beautiful 😢

This use to be the music that played on webtv back in the late 90’s if anyone owned that device. Webtv was brilliant! Why doesn’t it exist anymore 🤷

A lot of the tabs panel was incorect, thanks.
Hi, I'm not sure I understand what you mean. Are you thinking of my notes or someone else's?
Loved it. Tbh, the sound of it made me think of music from the 2 games:
- Fable 2
- The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim
Thank You🙂 I have not heard the music from those games, but now i will👍
Que maravilha de aula🙌👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you😊
The most famous canon (round) that’s actually a passacaglia (free form melody over basso continuo) in the world!
Love it❤❤new subscriber 💃🏼
May i ask how many days months or year to master it😁
Thank You😊 The boring answer is: That depends on how much you are practising…🎶🎸
Awesome job!! Love this piece!!

Played with " Stately Grandeur "
Thank You😊
So even and relaxed. Ever considered to split and reunite that video into an actual multi-voice canon? Pretty sure it would sound great.
Good idea👍 Maybe one day🙂
Awesome rendetion
Thank you😊
If I'm not mistaken, this Arrangement belongs to Per-olov kindgren
Yes it sounds like it and the chords are almost the same.
You’re mistaken. It does not.
Hi🙂 No, this is a mix of many different arrangements I have played, as well as my own suggestions.

You are a musical genius. Would you help me. I wish have a tablature for this master piece
So you HAVE to play it in D for it to work in the most practical way then? Or is it just by choice?
Primarily because of the music🎶

A lot of hit songs modeled after this chord progression
Yes i know, a popular chord progressive this🙂
Wonderful - have been playing it just as in Travis style but this is the real deal. I bought the score. Thank you. Do you have any Satie worked up?
Thanks a lot😊 Canon in D with travis picking sounds cool👍 I haven't recorded any satie yet, but maybe I will, beautiful music!

hi there, as a freshman into guitar, I have a question, do you memorise the tab or you just "read it" so fast while playing?
It is a combination of what you mention🙂

I think you have it as easy as possible now just learn and you can play at weddings 💒, long live Love. Taco Bell.
It seems like it should be a little faster, but then again it seems to speeds up when it should....
