How do you get the glue plate off the helmet when you want to change your helmet? Mine is stuck and I can't get it off. I have a Bell modular helmet?
The JBL speakers of my Freecom 2x are too large for the cut outs of my new Shark GT helmet I bought at the same time. The speakers are really painful as they fit proud, what do I do ??
on a modular helmet do i need to use the hybrid boom mic?
What about an installation in a system/modular helmet. It seems the wire between the speaker and the unit is to short to pass from the chin to the unit. Is there an extension of the wire possible ?
When installing on a modular helmet you have the hybrid microphone to set up in the helmet.
@@CardoSystemsGlobal That's not a nice solution having a lolly pop pushed onto your chin.
@@p.musolf8310 If you're using the big sponge, you can switch to the smaller one you received in the box
How long is the lenght of the wire of mic, can be used in 3/4 helmet ?
It just doesnt work with Bell Broozer.
Almost no space for the speakers
Pitty cause it sounds really thin
How do you change the position of the speakers on a full face helmet that has cutouts? I find the speakers barely audible when at highway speeds and wearing earplugs. I've read this is likely a placement alignment issue between the speaker and my ears. But if my helmet has cutouts, the geometry and surface area around the ears is pretty restrictive. There's not really any real estate to park the speaker outside of the cutouts.
Hi mnames,
Thank you for contacting us.
You can use the velcro pads supplied with the box to reposition the speakers.

@@CardoSystemsGlobal that doesn't address the geometry and restrictive surface area.
@@fibranijevidra thanks Fibra. I ended up solving the issue, but you're right: I had to cut into the foam and carve out new cutouts for it.
Trying to install Freecom 2+, but my HD half helmet has no pockets in the ear straps for speakers. Options?
Hi,
You can use the half helmet kit: ecs.page.link/nU5qq
We hope this helps, Cardo team
@@CardoSystemsGlobal thanks, I have that. It doesn't answer the ear placement speaker question however. There are no pockets. I have emailed your support desk.
Thank you for the video... I tried installing into my HTC but the ear positions are exactly on the straps close to where they mount to the helmet.. I don't see how toniverxomw this.. eek
There should be a little recess there for the earphone to sit in..what helmet do you have?
@@James-ec7qx Hi James... thank you for your reply.. after some internet forum searches I eventually hacked a recess and now it's awesome.. hardly feel them, sound is great... not tried on bike yet, just in kitchen lol.. happy freecoming.
No to be honest as my motorbike is only a 125 at the moment and not loud 😂 but I'm sure once I get a bigger bike I may have to

Is the freecom4 for any helmet
Hi The FREECOM 4 can fit on most of the helmets you have in the market today.
If not by the clamps then by the glue plate provided in the box.
wrong! you can't put the mount on the helmet first and then install the left cheekpad. The wires are in the way. You have to install the cheedpad and then the wires around it.
Disappointed in the full helmet microphone installation. What kind of instructions was that. Poor lighting resulted in not being able see where you installed it or how the wire is place. I expected better!

This video is as hard to hear as their systems. The $50 40mm speakers help, but they should be standard not extra. I like my scala, but it can be aggravating.

Just so you guys are aware, this video will tell you video to use the wrong velcro at the wrong time (he says to use the square ones in the speaker cutout.) I got lucky and my helmet had enough room that using the circular velcro for the mic on the inside chin of the helmet worked regardless, but obviously not everyone will be so lucky. The cardo full tututorial video of the freedom line says to use the circular velcro for the speakers and the square cutouts for the mic, this is the proper way to do it. See that video for visual example.
