When you realize that everything inevitably ends one day and so the internet will also end. And that this video and every video that doesn't have a physical copy will become lost when that happens.
Hahahh, I love how at 8:08, Bill goes from making fun of his fellow Bostonians to quickly ranting and becoming a 100% full blown Bostonian again without realizing it. His accent even gets thicker too.
This is only a decade old, but this is already so nostalgic to me. I would have been in high school growing up around Boston in 2011, I went to BU, etc - listening to Bill talk about all this just feels like I'm in the car with my uncle again.
Dude, I know. I went to Emerson for grad school from 2012-14, and I lived in the South End. I literally walked all around those neighborhoods he was driving through at the start of the video. What's crazy is he is talking about how much stuff has changed, yet in this video it is exactly how I remember it, but I know it's probably changed since then. It's like threefold time and memories. Cool to reminisce with Bill, and others who lived in Boston. It was a great time in my life, as I'm sure it was for you too.
"Phew look at those horrible genetics" "That guy made a bad business decision like 30 years ago" "It gets better!" His comments on the people walking around are the best
I always learn something new when watching Bill...he is very intelectual and witty and the way he can just fire thoughts off so quickly, back to back is awesome. What's best about his comic material is that it's all generated around facts, just brought to our attention from his one of a kind state of mind! I enjoy his take and outlook on all that he's experienced and his opinions concerning it all. Never boring!
Corrado Cervino when my dad and uncles tell me stories of growing up here in the 80s and 70s it sounds similar lol. Italian American macho men with their mullets and chains
"your honnnaa, if you see where his eyes aah" Lmfaoo! Bill your stuff is second to none. Material is fresh and spontaneous its incredible. Superfan here, can you tell haha
TaiChiKnees The street layout is absolutely moronic and it is always under construction. It’ll never be finished. No wonder the driving is insane. It’s still an incredible town.
Ive lived here my whole life (about 20 min north of boston proper) and i would refuse to drive in the city. Only reason why i do is i have a job that requires me to go there from time to time.
@@chrislestermusic Most Boston streets aren't laid out in 90 degree grids like newer cities. The older downtown streets especially are curvy since they were originally cow paths.
wow, you really went out of your way .. kind of feel bad. - but anyway, ya well he's from boston. hence the boston accent irony & its a tour of boston.
CosmicDialect lmao I did go out of my because I also wanted to be able to quickly jump to every time he did the accent without having to navigate the whole video, because it's funny. But thanks for the explanation!
Billy boy, I love you. Without question I absolutely have to watch this every once in a while. You and the bastin accent are golden. Mike from TO via Belfast.
This gets funnier the closer it gets to the end. Which is nice, because most funny people in normal settings tend to burn out after a while and just start forcing things.
I can't believe I'm leaving so many comments on a 7 yr old video, but just found it. While the Sox did buy up a lot of the area, the old Cask n Flagon aka The Cask is still Open. Until about 2 years ago so was Copperfields, although they closed the Down Under AKA the down and out dive bar downstairs yeas ago LOL. Went to Copperfield all the time in college. Live music cheap drinks fun crowd And sadly I not only am I old enough to remember when BU had a football team, But for a few years I lived on Football floors in West campus. It actually ended up being a lot of fun! I know you couldn't take a shower without 1 of the guys running through and throwing ice water on you. That did get old quickly! PS One of my biggest regrets was paying rent for 17 years for a Boston apartment. I could have owned 1 of those brown stones, or a house in Brookline. Oh to be young and stupid again LOL I did wake up about 15 years in but those were unaffordable bye then. Although they were virtually giving away buildings in the south end (NOT Southie) oh I would have made a killing if I wasn't killed before was developed and now a hotspot. Well I'm having fun going down memory lane on an old video assuming no one will see it LOL
+Mr Ree Mann He actually laughs a lot, even he has a funny kind of cool laugh haha. The cameraman is having the best time of his life every time he does these segments. Its awesome.
i did, but in my theory, at the time, Billy was talking about getting or not getting head from an hooker, and you dont want to be in the background of that conversation now, do you? How the kid heard them? yeah he is sentinel
Alright let's brainstorm. I think he's a banker's accountant named Earl who called in sick to go and experience a day off, because if you don't stop and look around from time to time, it passes you by. His plan, after taking his dad's sports car, is to reverse as many miles as he drove, so his dad doesn't know. He's having the time of his life, and coincidentally is off to find a prostitute! But seeing the camera he realised all this could be ruined by the camera. And his bank manager DID see this, and went to Earl's house, and 2 bitches, Earl's dog and his sister eventually fuck him up. Or maybe he's just a drug dealer. Yeah probably just a drug dealer. Maybe he's Walter White
Bill Burr is one of my favorites....he is as real a human as I have seen!! Very funny and he is a brother from another mother!!! Long live Bill Burr....got to get him back to Boston....I mean live here!!
Ol' freckles has a way of making it feel like you're having a conversation with him even when hes monologue-ing. Same reason his podcast is so entertaining, and why his comedy specials are so great. KEEP IT UP BIG BOY BILLY BOY
How am I just seeing this. I went to Emerson and had a *very* short-lived show on 88.9 WERS back in the late 90s. Making me nostalgic for Boston and I still live here.

18:00 is my friend Griffin aka "porno stash", his window was jammed open if you look carefully and he was listening to music on a boombox in the passenger seat cuz the radio doesn't work. It's extra funny cuz Griffin is a natural comedian, whenever I see him at parties he is always telling funny stories and such. Wish he would try and be a comedian for like a living lol
Bill would make the best cab driver ever.
No lie.
Or the best comic..
I think one of his cousins is my spirit animal :D
Dude if he got with Uber he could retire from comedy. I would give him my PIN number
Good movie title: The Last Cab Driver
anyone else notice how much he looks like the self portrait of Vincent Van Gogh ?
torgo4ever whoa
he avoided the curse of lifetime of misery with posthumous success and recogniztion
So...he looks like Van Gogh then, dumb dumb? Or does he look more like a picture of a reflection of a portrait of a clone of Van Gogh?
torgo4ever yeah right around the 22:00 mark
LMFAOOO im done!
I fuckin lost my shit when he said "It'll get better! IT'LL GET BETTERR!"
Me too
"There's people in there chanting about math" .....Also the line, "That's a serial killer who's also into boating" 😂 gold.
I would love to be that historian a hundred years from now researching what Boston was like in the early 2010's, and finding this gem
you're a simple fool "velveteyes" if that's your legit opinion xD
@velveteyes79 true that, many apologies.
@velveteyes79 You're too fucking dumb to realize he played you.
When you realize that everything inevitably ends one day and so the internet will also end. And that this video and every video that doesn't have a physical copy will become lost when that happens.
17:19 "Another lonely pasty faced red head"....."It will get will get better, it will get better"!!!! LMAO
Just discovered Bill last night and I'm already convinced he's one of the most entertaining guys on the planet.
amen
is your profile pic from boards of canada?

"There's people in there right now chanting about math." hahaha
@Daniel
You feel? Uuumm...okay.
How'd the camera guy didn't die laughing
I read that as meth
Hahahh, I love how at 8:08, Bill goes from making fun of his fellow Bostonians to quickly ranting and becoming a 100% full blown Bostonian again without realizing it. His accent even gets thicker too.
''Is this legal? I don't think so *does U-Turn anyway*"
That's driving in Boston in a nutshell.
i just did a U TURN there yesterday hahaha
lol yup it's called he " banged a u-eey "
Well at least he knew he was breaking the law.
Worst town to drive in HANDS DOWN.
Pretty much
Bill Burr is THE MAN!
First reply after 9 years, man life and the world in general has changed!

Can listen to Bill Burr talk about anything. Funniest comic alive, R.I.P. Patrice O'neal
CHHAAAAARLES RIVAAAA, thanks for coating my screen in coffee
The accent out burts make this totally worth watching. Miss that city.
Andrew Bell it’s very similar to the Aussie accent!
You ain’t from fakin dotchesta say DaaaaaTchesta

derrick rose I see u beat that train law suit 😂
"This used to be a salami store...now look at it!"
"Phew look at those horrible genetics"
"That guy made a bad business decision like 30 years ago"
"It gets better!"
His comments on the people walking around are the best
Once he starts shit talking everyone, I just about lost my damn mind.
Boston is BEAUTIFUL !
5:15 - That moment where you can see Bill genuinely break a little bit when he's reminiscing about the swan boats, hell, that got me a bit.
Love this dude on Breaking Bad .. Everytime he appeared in a scene.. I couldn't help but smirk!
"It'll get better, it'l get better!!" lmfao
Your Honor, you can clearly see, immediately prior to the accident, the defendant mocking this court...while texting.
I always learn something new when watching Bill...he is very intelectual and witty and the way he can just fire thoughts off so quickly, back to back is awesome. Well you should understand, youre a stan. Understand man?
Burr just seems so effortlessly funny. A very talented guy.
“I don’t need to justify my dreams to you” I felt that
"There's the MIT building, they're in there chanting about math."
Fu#king synths.
"then you go down there get into a fight and the Big thing before the fight you took your chain off."
LMAO
Corrado Cervino when my dad and uncles tell me stories of growing up here in the 80s and 70s it sounds similar lol. Italian American macho men with their mullets and chains
This is a 10 minute tour of Boston followed by 14 minutes of top notch crowd work.
"your honnnaa, if you see where his eyes aah" Lmfaoo!
Bill your stuff is second to none. Material is fresh and spontaneous its incredible. Superfan here, can you tell haha
I lived in Boston for a year; the driving there is the most insane anywhere I've ever been in my fifty years of life.
TaiChiKnees The street layout is absolutely moronic and it is always under construction. It’ll never be finished. No wonder the driving is insane. It’s still an incredible town.
Ive lived here my whole life (about 20 min north of boston proper) and i would refuse to drive in the city. Only reason why i do is i have a job that requires me to go there from time to time.

try miami.
"And if you look right over here there's a parkin' meter..." 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I just love all the tangents. It’s nice to watch something not staged. BB is naturally funny. Love this.
as a fellow Bostonian this video makes me happy
"and there's people in there chanting at math" lmfao....bill burr kills me.
Bill Burr is the reason I'd live in Boston
Thanks Billy Boy!!! you bring sanity to an insane world...
love your Podcast.
11:20 "Is this legal, I don't think so" LOL
He's so naturally funny.
18:10 ''now he's crying about his parents'' LMAO
He looked like Ned Flanders
Loved that bit 😄
Man like Bill is filming Family Guy segments at traffic light stops. He's too good.
15:17 dude who drives the red bull car beyond fuckin 22 years of age ahahaha
Oh my God that was the best 24 minutes I've had in a long time 😂😂😂
That's what she said
What a simpler time 2011 was. Cruising around Boston mid day like this, minimal traffic, not many people out seems.... distant but comforting.
4:03, 4:29, 5:01, 6:15, 8:56, 9:40, 10:28, 10:41, 15:13, 15:23, 16:37, 20:08, why does he do that?
wow, you really went out of your way .. kind of feel bad. - but anyway, ya well he's from boston. hence the boston accent irony & its a tour of boston.

+CosmicDialect gotta luv it.... .
You missed 9:16
This is the best compilation of time stamps on UA-cam.
5:25 that switch from the nostalgic past memories of his child self's dreams to the present cranky Bill is golden 😂
This is almost better than watching a special. This is comedy on the go.
Billy boy, I love you. Without question I absolutely have to watch this every once in a while. You and the bastin accent are golden. Mike from TO via Belfast.

+TheGamingSeal123 he has a podcast on his website that you could listen to
12coco100 i do :)
Same here man. What's even cooler is that he's from my hometown. Wish I knew him like a friend.
If you listen to his podcast you'll feel like you know him. Kind of creepy, I guess, but I know as much about Bill as I know about some of my friends.
AGbaby235 Nah he just watches Bill Burr a little and thinks it's funny to copy how he talks
I could listen to Bill Burr read the phonebook. "Who would even want to live with a last name like that?"
Mike372644 nice pic you got there
couple a yaaaaaaahhhhnkees
not today goddamn right lol
"do you have any sense of responsibility for your own safety?"
80 seconds later:
"Look at this guy.. do you really need a helmet?'
I couldn't but to flip off my screen at 2:42 at the guy staring over.

I could listen to Bill all day. Hilarious all throughout.
I think I speak for everyone when I say Bill Burr would be a cool ass friend to have. Hours of entertainment haha
I wish I could film a tour with Bill Burr

There's nothing better than going back to your hometown and bring it back
Bill Burr in Wilbur!
Bill Burr is such a treasure
"It'll get better! It'll get betteeer!"
9:36 the way Bill says “Harvard” destroys me each time I see this video
This is where Bill Burr excels for me when hes just makin shit up as he goes along hes a master at it.
This is the greatest thing I've ever seen.
I call it the "route 1" accent. It starts in Boston and actually gets worse as you travel north into Maine. But nowhere else in New England do you hear that accent, just that Route 1 coastal route. I don't know how it evolved.
+Ted Cabana irish
It's true, but if you head west the Worcester accent is pretty funny too. Central mass has a heavy sound to it
Ted Cabana nah also the Greater Lowell area in fact the Lowell accent is identical to the South Boston one
Ted Cabana I grew up Lowell moved to Somerville when I was 23 still live there now. they thought I was a townie
I grew up in RI & Boston... it's definitely a coastal/Irish thing. You don't really here it in Western MA, VT, or most of CT.
He’s so emotional about his town he ends a lot of his sentences kinda with a rising tone.it’s a very interesting way to talk and I absolutely love this guy and every word he says there’s just some ppl like that I guess
how the fuck does the cameraman not laugh at all this ?
Jeremy Stafford socks.! He has to stuff socks in his mouth..
22:00 I think he just have a very low giggling laughter..:)
He was castrated
Yeah many times I've heard held back laughs and he answered bill sometimes and he is voice is hardly picked up.
Are you guys deaf? Cameraman is laughing the whole time
Love these videos from Bill.
It's like he's taking an out-of-body experience to his past before he made it big time. Fucking love it man.
"Jesus christ. The hamhocks on her. That chick's from Nebraska." Lmfao hits harder since im a native Nebraskan
My favorite comedian ever!
"Over here there's a parking meter!"
Bill Burr is my spirit animal.
18:00 is my friend Griffin aka "porno stash", his window was jammed open if you look carefully and he was listening to music on a boombox in the passenger seat cuz the radio doesn't work. The funniest guy ever in such a natural way...effortless! Laughed thru the whole damn thing!
