Hearing “This is your crew chief! You’re in a rolling start. Good luck!” Followed by the opening to this song blasting through the arcade speakers never gets old.

It goes back a little earlier than that, actually. Look up B-univ - Let's Go Away, it's the first instance of this arrangement from 1994 (featuring Tetsuo Sakurai, original bassist of Casiopea :P)
@SHUTDOWNOfficial I assume you're talking about the lyrics which came from that version? There's more specific nuances that are taken from the [H.] version which this one uses. Would've been good if I'd pointed them out specifically at the time, but I was too young to do that. The one that jumps out to me is around 30 seconds in "Day" is doubled but with a filter. Thanks though for highlighting the B-univ version including its contributors for CASIOPEA.
@@nicolaashamman6201 Yeah, I feel like each new arrangement slowly added onto how the song started being performed later. I just pointed that one out because I didn't know the elements of the version Mitsuyoshi usually performs were already there in '94!
Nah. I prefer a really good, actual sequel for Daytona USA. Like for once atleast SEGA trying to make new ideas for a new game for Daytona. Daytona USA 2 is the perfect example. There's a very cool mindblowing maps there and a good improvement. For God sake I won't take any remake or port anymore. Maybe a port for the original arcade Daytona USA 1 & 2 for the PC is all I like.
This is an original song for the Daytona Speedway stage in this game. The original Daytona USA only has Three Seven Speedway, and the song used for this game's Three Seven Speedway is from the Daytona USA 2 game.
My disappointment was immeasurable when i found out this song didnt have the extra lyrics in the original game, just nonsensical "WEE HA HEE" or "WE CANT EAT"

Man I actually just realized some of the lyrics he sings are actual in-game lines from the crew chief that’s pretty cool
Wow, it's based on the old arrangement SEGA Sound Unit [H.] used to perform. Neat to see that Mitsuyoshi still loves the developments it brought.

I’d take anything at this point.

We have a Main Event currently when I live; love playing this game, especially to hear this song as I play and drive.
I played the arcade version just a while back. I love it.
I’ve been to Daytona Florid… it is really beautiful there
I love how we finally have a whole ass song of this now.
Girls in February: I wonder what I should get for my boyfriend.

This version of the main theme is different than the original!
This is an original song for the Daytona Speedway stage in this game. The original Daytona USA only has Three Seven Speedway, and the song used for this game's Three Seven Speedway is from the Daytona USA 2 game.
The reason you can tell is because in the original version it says Daytona and in this version it says Daytono

Ow. This is painful. I know it's whats his face singing, but he sounds drunk, like this was a bad karaoke night that made it into the game.
Nah, he's just singing in broken English. He's foreign.
You’re just not smart enough to understand it’s brilliance
The Daytona USA soundtrack is one of my all time favorites. But this is a painful rendition.
Takenobu Mitsuyoshi steers into his lack of English experience when singing. He hams it up, it's like a signature.
+turbohusque He rooks so good doing it though.
No crei poder odiar la canción Daytona en alguna versión .... Odio está versión
