It's funny because those audiences are usually selected, at least in part, to make sure some of the folks there will be enthusiastic about the interviews. Whoever does those selections though hasn't caught up with "geek culture". Folks now cheer if you mention Comic Con or Comic Books. But they're still catching up on D&D and any video game not made my Nintendo... Give it time, it'll happen.

@@suriyacn1208 Of course he has to pay taxes. He "could have made much more" is debatable. Yes, a platform has disappeared which means less competition for the streaming platforms, thus less lucrative exclusive deals... but you have to weigh the pros and cons of being stuck on mixer with a much lower audience, compared to moving to twitch or youtube and having access to the bigger community. Ninja got the deal with mixer because of his numbers in the first place. If Ninja wasn't the biggest streamer on twitch, he would have gotten far less. Not to mention bigger numbers mean longer relevance. Maybe he would have made an additional $30 million from mixer, but then his career would have fizzled out. Over a 10 year period with a large audience, he'll make way more than $30m. Sponsorship deals, merchandise sales, tournaments, will all be more lucrative if he has bigger numbers.
