People from Thialand have said that outing isn't a big thing there, so I don't think that part was considered in writing the script. We tend to look at things from an American/European point of view. So yes an apology for outing their relationship but outing them as not straight isn't as big of a deal in the story. The focus is more on what their falculties and their families will say, not which gender they love.

Pran is his best friend, and it is inevitable to feel hurt and angry if you find out that your best friend constantly lies to your face and dates the person who bullies you behind your back. At least they reconciled in the end somewhat.
