I just came to say you're an amazing teacher and your're an inspiration for all the students out there. I think teaching is always the key to instill love, courage, talent, admiration, and much more to this and any other professions. Music is definnetely the language of love and you teach very well how to speak it 💞

Amazing explanaition. I makes sense to me on another level now. I think I do this naturally in most cases, or at least try to when my skill level allows for it. I also think I copy musicians i listen to A LOT. Glad to hear that it's not considered cheating to copy other artists 😅
I really like the boat picture. When I play Chopin I always keep in mind how fascinated he was by female singers. I try to imagine, how his melodies would be sung by a really good female singer with a lot of feelings.

Hi Josh. Could you do a video about the phrasing typically for Chopin's music? I heard a beautiful Koczalski recording, and him being the student of a student of Chopin, must be very close in his Chopin interpretation.
Can you make a video about where a interprtation ends and playing the pice worng starts. For instance in articulation. How far can i go from the things written in the score?? This just blew my mind. Have been polishing Mendelssohn's Song Without Words op.38 no.6 and this totally upends how I've been thinking about it.
