When I work for Halliburton I use to drive the Mack R model that was a work truck went off road in it an she payed my bills love the old mack trucks an their were no automatic transmission in the old trucks 18spd transmission
The good thing is that Mack didn’t go under. I’ve been driving the granites for years and they are a good truck. However they do lack the quality of days gone by. None the less they hold up fairly well if taken care of.
Nice job giving us a tour!! Just need a little more detail on the transmission, shifting, & engaging the engine brake,& how that all works together… as some of us are old school,& have to get orientation on the auto transmission …
Ain’t nothin like the old ones 0 DEF manual transmission Eaton fuller or Maxitorque (Mack transmissions) great sounding E7 engine with that engine brake 👌🏼bah bah bah bah bah pop pop pop pop pop pop pop 👌🏼 mint
Once I get my cdl I want to start out in dump trucks hopefully it's the new and improved mack granite automatic no need for a manual stick thats in the past this is the future easy money people make it like automatic trucks are horrible but we all have different preferences
we have 2 of these at work one tri one quad, all I can say is the build quality is sad , window buttons broken , window has to be pushed up to make it go up sensors going out , the best part is the main harness ground that's attached to the back of the air ride cab that's to short and breaks making you lose all pto function and lights don't get me started on the DEF problems . solid engine and trans if you have the Allison the mack auto is junk. we took delivery of the 2020 and the widow wipers didn't even work lol. better of with a pete are a KW
@@antoniocognato5023 yea but they have real bad sensor problems and the parts are hard to get we have 10 trucks down cause of a sensor we getting rid of them and getting all Mack’s kw are junk
thats sad to hear. we have 6 mack granite at work. 2011 up to 2022. i drove the 21 when it was brand new and now im in the 22 and they have been some of the best trucks we have owned. build quality is awesome. even the older ones! our oldest has 500k and hasent skipped a beat. newest one with 30k so far been good! maybe yours were built on a friday lol
the only thing volvo is the engine which was also made from a collaboration with mack and volvo. The mack engine have a different horsepower and torque curve and are far more reliable. And this truck has a gold bulldog on the hood that means mack trans and mack rears. Cant get those on a volvo lol Coming from a master mack tech.
@@polarisboy67 If I'm not mistaken the rear suspension is also a Volvo design called "T-ride". Volvo is one of those companies I'd have no issue with having a borrowed design from. Brilliant company.
Do they still have the design flaw with the climate control, where where it takes air from in front of the windshield so all the dust falls right down to the heater core? I will never own another Mack until that is designed different.
This guy needs to learn the truck he is selling. The fuel filters under the so called rail are oil filters. The so called rail is under the valve cover on this truck lol And the fuel filter is on the driver side.
M drive is moron drive a variation of Volvo’s I shift or as I like to say idiot shift C,mon people wake up respect your self bellyup to the bar be a Man or Woman and learn to shift embrace it enjoy it it’s not that hard it takes some patience and practice I am living proof it can be accomplished and I have taught people how to drive manual shift in heavy trucks mid range trucks and cars and as strange as it may sound truck is easier then car
Wow she’s a beautiful work horse well done with this truck.
Automatic junk

I've driven several Mack dump trucks over the years and I gotta say that is one nice bulldog.

make sure it a allision and not the junk mack auto
What if you were offered more money to drive a Spicer Super 10 over this?
You shouldn't drive a truck if you can only drive automatic. You're not needed
@@joedirte716 😂😂😂😂 stop it
I prefer 10speed I've driven them all
Please give us the option to have old school steering wheel. Otherwise your truck Rocks!!
And mirror and Jake brake
The fuel filters are on the driver side oil filter on the passenger side 🤔

What is the Max trailer tow? I need to pull an Excavator, Need to know what are my weight numbers.

Hi are you were you guys located
Can u still get a new Mack with a traditional 12 speed triple countershaft Maxitorque transmission
They haven't made 12 speeds since the 90s you can still get a 10 speed with or without multi speed reverse and a 13 and 18 speed maxitorque.
James Newman Ok thanks for the update
MPG?
Give me manual any day
For a second I thought the guy driving was Brett Farve
How much ?
Le ace falta una 18 cambio en el medio y queda listo.
He looks a bit like the gangster in "Sopranos"
That's not a Mack. That's a Volvo with a dog glued to the hood.

Full Bread Mack
Mack stopped being a good quality built tough American in 2000 when volvo bought them, now Mack trucks is through away trucks
American trucks haven't been reliable and tough in a while even before foreign companies took over lol

$ 200,000
Only ever owed macks but those d tanks dont belong on a mack. Keep those for the vovlo there hideous anyway!
Same with that vovlo suspension

wHAT ABOUT THE MOTOR???? You were doing an ok presentation untill that...............
Very sterile looking cab
Not enough fake wood for you? That cab looks modern, not something from 1975 . . .
