    Saw this on FB and thought, OK give it skwizz, didn't realise it is a piece of your great work. Briliantly different view of Cockermouth, so many memories from eons ago visiting family, the carnivals and of course the Fair, still love Candy Floss, thanks Lee well done Bud.

    Love the amazing ariel views and plentiful rural landscapes/ historical buildings like much of northern england, mostly would have been full of forests pre-industrial times. The Romans had very little influence on this Cumberland county despite what I have read on history records - the French Normans absoloutely had entire reign and dominance and why for it became a dominant Catholic Orthodoxy in 12th century - no one of Roman dececent survived the absoloute bruce force of the Normans - how and why Northern britain managed to thrive as a civilized human populace therafter and French Latin the only language to make the mediveal Chronicles.

    Hi Lee, further to your suggestion for potential future tours, how about following the old Keswick ,Cockermouth to Workington railway.
    Cheers

    really good video! its really weird finding a youtube channel with a video about a place I grew up in for a long time, but we live a long bit away, this gave me chills, don't know why haha

    Brilliant !!!, this has to be your finest work so far. well done and great narration. Loved it. Maybe you could approach the local tourist board to see if they are interested in having it displayed in their offices where tourists go to get leaflets etc x

      Susan Girling Thanks a lot, I'm glad you enjoyed this as it's something a bit different! - I tried to get the tourist office to show it but they weren't interested :-( never mind x

      Wow they weren't interested, what idiots it would have bought some much needed tourism to the area :(

    Great footage and narration. The area seems to have blended the old and the new together quite well with many areas to shop and visit.

    Very well put together, enjoyed that, you will have to re film the sheep and wool centre,the new hotel with mock barn conversion is stunning.

      Thanks a lot, as it stands I have no plans to re-shoot any of this video unless it is commissioned by the local tourism board but they had no interest in this video so I can't see that happening.

    • @MrRoverone
      @MrRoverone 7 років тому

      A re-shoot of the before and after just for yourself I meant, shame the tourism board don't use that its more informative and interesting than anything they would shoot, look forward to more like this :-)
