Love seeing Steamranger stuff. The Goolwa depot is at the end of the road I lived on as a kid. Would ride my bike down multiple times a day to watch them go past. Hoping to see the 520 back running and on here one day, must have been 20 years or more since it has run now.
I love those classic old rolling stock units. Takes me back to my childhood when our family stayed at Oaklands Park for a week right near the tracks. I was glued to the window about every 15mins watching the Redhens go by and the evening pass service pulled by a 500 class deisel
I remember the red hens . I had sex on a red hen l.o.l .before camera's
@@einaelatnuceinaelatnuc2780 what do you mean sex
What an interesting little train. Joe from Canada
Yes, it is! Designed for the light axle load lines of our state with low passenger numbers. Nothing like it around today outside the heritage railways.

@@MS_Trains Thank you for the info.
G'Day Matt, another great video, we travelled from Goolwa to Victor Harbor in June 2018 in Red Hen 412, would loved to have travelled in the Brill, however we have travelled in the Pichi Richi Brill many years ago, have a great Christmas and a safe New Year, take care, Bill
perfect.
Nice shot
But what do the passenger comforts look like??!!
wait, do the locals use this as a regular passenger service?
No, these trains don't run with a whole lot of regularity outside of the school holidays. There might be the odd handful of folks who use it to get around every once in a while, but it's not something you can commute to work on.
Great video but as a purist it's a pity they dont have a complete Brill set that centenary carriage just doesn't look right
When are you filming steamranger again
