John Halkias commented that you catch your own crabs for bait. A short video on catching and keeping them would be interesting. Some really nice keepers on this trip!
@@garydebrizzi9244 He could throw a deck on that baby and he has a nice mini bass boat.... but you aren't wrong... he has some legit equipment on that boat. Looks a little off, but whatever works for him.
I love seeing those hits on the rod tip, that's fun. Really neat to see how picky those bass were too, waiting until it was dead on top to come up at it. Thanks as always.
That was wild how those Striper pounce on the bucktail right at the boat. Speaking of boats, I've always liked your boat and the amount of space for fishing. I have a little Bluefin 16' aluminum and it's just fine for running rivers and creeks here in Va.
Saw some guys on the tog ground trying to hold anchor with a trolling motor. Unfortunately, with 15 mph S wind and the incoming tide, they couldn’t hold anchor. We chuckled at them. Nothing beats a windlass winch for tog fishing IMO.
Hi John, I'm looking at getting the same trolling motor and I have the exact same hull I'm pretty sure. What length trolling motor shaft did you end up getting?
Nice shots of the stripers hitting. John, you need a live well big enough to cull those 'togs. Hate to see you have to throw back your biggest fish like that!

I really like the fast catch and release, no kissing dancing or high fiving yourself. Great vids John.
I dont understand the boat hate... I actually like the boat. It gets the job done and that is all that matters.
lol john can fish from a float and probably catch just as much.
Ponds Solo Fishing winner winner chicken dinner?
Ponds Solo Fishing I absolutely agree with you

Looks like a great set up...
I live vicariously through you .....

Great video! I have the same Berkley fish ruler. almost impossible to remove the packaging sticker on it. wish they would not package it that way.

Hi,
Can you do more vid for the sonar+trolling motor?anchor lock.
That Hummingbird sidescan absolutely blows my Simrad sidescan out of the water.
Im waiting for it to go on sale this winter. My garmin crapped out on me. Thank god for west marine insurance.
I wonder, if you would have drop to bottom and jigged up, if you caught a Flounder or a Bigger Rock fish?
Hey nice seeing u again

Is it your gps u use to reach your fishing spot ?

Do you suggest using a slim wave with a penn slammer 3 3500?
Nice combo.
Hi good video . One question where can I get the trailer you were using on your buck tail? Thanks.
It's a straight otter tail bait strip, 5-inch. There's a link in the video description.
What lure do you use for the longtail's or Albie's or bonitas
#2 deadly dick. There's a link in the video description.
Anyone's thoughts on if this fishing technique would be effective off the New Hampshire coast?
John, What do you think of the Slammer III? Would you recommend it?
Excellent. One of the best Penns.
What is the make and model of your boat? Thanks.
1974 16' Starcraft Holiday customized to a CC.

It's a tsunami slimwave. There's a link in the video description.

Hey John awesome video but I was curious to know how long can you fish the trolling motor before the batteries go dead
I got one like that the battery will last I know six hours or more in the wind.
The battery test has read "full" when I've come back from every trip. It can handle a full day for sure.
Do you get your asian crabs or do you by in store?
I don't, but a friend gets them somewhere in Nassau County.
@@JohnSkinnerFishing ok great thank you

Did that 1 week old Benito head stink?
