No unit matches archangels in an straight fight. 30 att and deff, 50 damage and 18 speed? Yeah, no one can handle that regardless of how many gimicks you stack on it.

Devils - One of the coolest T7 to clear the map with, but also at least in top 3 worst (arguably THE WORST) T7 to invest into for final battles VS other heroes, even the AI, not go mention human players. Weak stats, low HP with zero resistances or immunities is a recipe for disaster, plus their building and hiring/upgrade cost is absurdly high. They're not even the fastest T7, which they maybe should have been considering other weak stats they have. Hydrae are also bad, but at least cheap, with potential to cause real chaos if proper buffs and/or teleport/clone is used properly.
I think they are pretty good vs other players. The minus luck has more effect the higher the stats of both heroes are and they do work really well with frenzy. They also have more dwellings in than most other tier 7 units in most maptypes for that reason, what balances it out and let their strong side shines more. Also devils make it extremly easy to farm the map what can give you the edge in stats in the final battle. They are also the 3rd fastest tier 7 unit and having the 1st cast can win a battle in its own with something like prayer or a big chain lightning.
@maniwuk6451 disagree :) minus luck is OK I guess, but what extra dwellings are you talking about? I know you can get extra giants and firebirds from HotA specific creature banks, thats it. Being third fastest does not guarantee you a first move/cast, with such crap stats they should be no 1 speed. Finally, low HP and no resistances or immunities whatsoever means that ANYTHING can screw them over - dmg spells, debuffs, mind spells, whatever you got you can screw devils over. And they're crazy expensive on top. Nah, man, I love them and hydrae a lot, but they're just the worst in final battles objectively.
@@maniwuk6451 also, a unit that hates them for extra dmg is faster and stronger than them, and available to ANY player through conservatories. Case closed :D
@@millancche they have more dwellings in the most played ranked formats like Jebus cross,-outcast, duel and in MT jebus as well. also they are in the same faction as Demons what explains the lack in stats. and I never talked about creature banks. also Archdevils give minus 2 luck and if you have a Devil in your army as well it provides one additional minus luck. and that can screw a fight really hard for the opponent. And angels being available to anyone makes them even better cause while angels are availeable to anyone only you have Archdevils and they outspeed angels as far as I know. And unlike angels, devils can fight bigger stacks early on thanks to no retaliation what allows you to farm the big objektives with less losses and get ahead that way. they may loose in a 1v1 vs angels but they have their strengths and they can be better in some circumstances. 100 Arch devils can beat 100 ancient behemoths but 100 Archangels will lose if both heroes have some mightstats but no casting. If you have a lot of mana there is no fight that devils cant win vs any amount of melee unit that is slower than it while 100 Arch Angels will never be able to kill 4000 of one Hex tier 5 unit or above. does that make angels bad or worse than devils? No just diffirent with other uses. There is no case to be closed.

I personally kinda feel it might be true for devil palaces (but also hydra ponds? ) to pop up slightly more often than, say portals of glory, but I have no actual proof of this, do you? Is it connected to unit or dwelling Ai value stat somehow? For speed I guess we'll have to agree to disagree :) third fastest just doesn't feel CONSISTENT enough for me to rely on for first move, especially not when anyone can acquire the faster ones through banks, with high chance of finding and building up castle/conflux sidetown in order to upgrade them. So you can't rush an early fight because that's when regular cons - angels and speed items will determine who moves first, devils will almost never have a say there. It's almost always gonna be your angels and speed items VS his angels and speed items, right? And then your devils get slaughtered by first cast and angels. And if you play a super long game, then someone(both of you?) will eventually get archangels or phoenixes anyway most of the time. At best, AT BEST you may expect (arch)devils to actually provide you a first move in maybe, like, 25-30% of your inferno games VS NON-CASTLE-CONFLUX-INFERNO opponents.

Titan wins 1v1 vs Archangel if you just defend with them. There's plenty of video proof on UA-cam.
