The biggest waves came from yachts at full throttle racing ahead of of pirate ship.

The freaking weather. Every single A level aerobatics competition where I live has been canceled due to weather for the last three years. It cannot just be rescheduled because the other level competitions cannot be canceled just because they are not A level. B and novice level comp days are normally beautiful. Its a plot, a conspiracy against the elite pilots. Rain, low clouds, and gusts to 40mph is on their menu every time. That would not make boating any fun either.

@@richardthetroll6758 it's called acting. I think its cool because it makes you feel like you are in the pirate era. My small town has a heritage day where everyone dresses up from the 1890s. They replaced the modern cars with horse drawn carriages, Stahlradwagens (steel wheeled cars), penny farthings. Everyone talked in the old english. The town got in character so well, and with such passion and enthusiasm that you felt you time traveled. I think its just another way of appreciating history. It's so interactive! We even had a butter churn competition as one of the activities. Got a good workout and made butter to last you a while at the same time. I don't know why you think it's idiotic. I guess actors in film and tv are idiots as well? I'm working to become an actor, scriptwriter and producer. Acting to me is getting in touch with another part of you. Or turning your challenges into great performances. As I struggle with GAD and panic disorder, I can put those into my acting and make the character I am playing more real, and I build a personal connection to that character. Acting is beautiful because it can be an entertainment while also being therapeutic. A whole new world is exposed when you act. I guess when you don't have an imagination everything looks fake and dull to you. Imagination is a strength to see things in a new angle. "Dreaming is still how the strong survive" (Once Upon a Time in New York City from Oliver and Company).
Okay I live here in Florida and I have never knew about this at all. Know I want to see this in person.

The title makes it seem as if it’s real pirates.
Boy, you want to heed small craft warnings and even in a bigger boat it won't be fun. We took a small boat out in the keys during a small craft warning, 3 foot swells and water spouts. 3-foot swell, what's that? at 9:30 or 10:00 we were the only boat heading out and bigger boats than us were coming back in. That's when I first rethought my decision to go. Destination was a shallow reef about 20 feet (or so) deep, 3 miles off the coast. Once we got out of the protected bay of the harbor area ... man. Chop doesn't describe it. It was rolling. Two of us had to get in the front of the boat to weigh it down when we came off of a crest and we'd be airborne and hit the wind and we'd be hanging onto the rail (pretty sure it was only decorative and yes, I worried about that, too, that and pitching forward off the front and getting run over by the outboard) and our knees would slam back down on the deck of the boat. It was awful. i spent as much time up in the air as I did on the deck of that boat. I was so sick by the time we got to the reef I wouldn't get out of the boat b/c I knew the current would be strong and I was too weak. But being in the boat was awful. I thought I was going to get flipped out of the boat when it capsized, so I put my arms through as many of those cushions with the straps as I could without moving because I was too weak to move. It was horrible. Finally, the other 2 got back in the boat talking about the current and we headed back. Thankfully. We shouldn't have gone out. Small craft warning. It's real. Their only ulterior motive they have is they don't want to have to get out in the mess and look for you.

It made me wish I was born in a different era
