Furthermore, the omnipresence of superheroes in mainstream media has somewhat diluted the novelty of their existence. While I can appreciate the artistry and craftsmanship that goes into creating these larger-than-life characters, their omnipresence has resulted in a saturation that leaves me craving a different narrative flavor.
Additionally, by ignoring MARVEL, I am taking a stance on the importance of creativity beyond commercial success. Many indie creators and artists struggle to gain recognition amidst the vast marketing budgets of mega-franchises. Supporting lesser-known works allows these talented individuals to thrive and encourages the cultivation of diverse and authentic storytelling.
Ultimately, my decision to ignore MARVEL is an affirmation of the beautiful diversity that exists within the world of entertainment. From arthouse films to literary classics, there is an abundance of stories waiting to be discovered.
