Eh. It's debatable whether or not Aizen would make it past Ichibe.
Besides, Aizen doesn't have the ability to absorb people like Yhwach does, so it'd probably end up in a circumstance more akin to Aizen taking Ichibe's place and ruling over everyone, with the Reio just kind of continuing to do it's thing in a state of eternal torment. It's not like Aizen wanted to recreate the division of the world like Yhwach did, so even if he could absorb the Soul King, there'd be no point.

When Ichibei fought Yhwach he lost and that Yhwach regained his powers back instead of getting stronger and Yhwach lost to Yamamoto 1000 years ago, he didn't even face him head on despite the fact that Yamamoto got weaker after losing his arm and Yamamoto before losing his arm was weaker than Transformed Aizen who only got stronger from that point on.
By the time he fought Dangai Ichigo before transforming into his monster form he was already above base Yhwach with Almighty, Ichibei and Yamamoto.
Post Hogyuku Aizen is stronger than all 3 of them.
SK Yhwach is a different matter, it is possible that Aizen could have fought and bested him in a head to head battle because he did say that he could stop him after getting up from Chair-Sama.
Who knows what he would have done had Ichigo not shown up.

Neither has the capacity to truly kill the other in the conventional sense, but unlike Aizen, Yhwach can absorb others. In a fight, they stalemate until Yhwach absorbs Aizen, or one of them gets sick of fighting and leaves.
There's also the possibility that Auswhalen might just flat out work on the Hogyoku, since it worked on Gerard, who's also a (much larger) fragment of the Soul King. If that's the case, once Yhwach decides to do that, Aizen just flat out loses.
Aizen does have the thing going for him that he can pretty much perfectly hide from Yhwach because of Kyoka Suigetsu, but at best, all that means is that after both of them figure out fighting conventionally is meaningless, Aizen can just withdraw freely to try to come up with some other way to win that doesn't involve fighting. Which would be a *much* better strategy, and something I could see him doing.

I immediately disagree with this. Aizen can't be killed, in my opinion he wins the hax department because of Kyoka which literally fooled Ywach TWICE even after he achieved full power. Also, if we're talking FULLY unsealed Aizen, not just one eye and his mouth free, he'd be WAY stronger than he was in the manga during this arc. He was still mostly sealed and still contended with Ywach.
aizen was getting absorbed before the plot arrows, he still got his ass folded with kyoka suigetsu enabled (yhwach broke out of it in a good 5 mins), the seals only affect aizen’s range stated BY HIMSELF in chap 618
Yhwach even states Kyoka Suigetsu's effect seems to have hit its limit, because it stopped working or he simply overpowered it with The Almighty.
