The big spider is called ‘a huntsman spider’, if you have huntsmen spiders then you have no venomous spiders because the huntsman eats them. Huntsmen are good.
And this is why we don’t celebrate Halloween coz here in oz it’s Halloween all year round 😂
A few things. I am in my 70s and never found a spider in my shoe (do not even check unless I am camping), a snake in my toilet bowl, and we often played with blue ringed octopi as kids. It was only when a scuba diver put one in his wetsuit to take back and it bit him that we found out they could be harmful. All the large spiders are not really a threat, the goannas are very timid and usually race off up a tree when encountered, and those large insects are also harmless. A lot of hype over nothing.
I’m in Queensland & have had a spider in a shoe & a couple huge cockroaches. Also had a spider floating around in the kettle, under the calendar when I went to turn it & so on….
You're right Australia is not like any other country because it is also a continent !!
That's debatable , check out MapMen
An Island continent to boot
@@MortonBartlett-yy3cnNo it's a continent island.
What’s funny is we are all taught in Australia that it is an country, continent, island
The only one in the world to be all 3
But what’s fascinating but also really annoying is other countries, particularing countries in the northern hemisphere are taught both in school and on google that Oceania what we know as the region they are taught Oceania is the continent, it’s literally on their google
While our google in Australia says we are an continent
Anyway I thought it was fascinating
@@FromTheGong yeah that too😛
As an Aussie, I find this funny. We don't have Brown/Black Bears, Cougars, Jaguars etc etc not to mention Trash Panders with rabies. yet you are scared of a few bugs lol.
2:14 its not going be there at night time thats when theyre active . Plus Flying Foxes/Fruit Bats are cool
I tamed a few flying foxes when I was a teenager. They're really sweet and loooove head scratches.
The tall skinny mound of dirt was a termite nest
I was driving down the highway one day and a massive huntsman dropped from the roof onto my face. It's a miracle I didn't crash.
The pack of cigs VS groceries isn't an exaggeration. You're pack of Marlboro's containing 20 cigs is like $50, and a pack of 25 is like $65. Yea, i would say there would be $65 worth of shopping there from either Coles and Woolies supermarkets, but probably even less if you picked up a few specials, so $50 on a good day and yea, would be the same price as a small pack of Marlboro's here in Aus which is crazy... That's like smoking a loaf of bread for each cigarette... CRAZY! 🤪
I pay $37 for 15 gram pouch of tobacco, lasts me a almost a week, that is 3-4 packets of 60 papers. Those that smoke tailor mades ARE getting ripped off.
@@geofftottenperthcoys9944 All smokers are getting ripped off, it's just you're getting ripped off less 😁
@@geofftottenperthcoys9944 100% agree! I generally get a 25 gram pouch of capstan for around 60 Bux and that lasts me a little more than a week, a 50 gram pouch would last me nearly 3 weeks... But yeah, I just did a $70 food shop, then put my 25 gram pouch next to it haha!
"It's harmful to look at" had me😂dying
thumbs up for mckenzie .
Most Australians never have any problems as long as being sensible . In some areas have to check shoes before putting on .yes that lizard grows big if your standing where it's going to walk they have been known to walk up people not hurting them 😅😅😅😅😅😅 10:58
Large lizard is a goanna
much of what you see Is the Queensland and the tropics of Australia
The big lizard is a goanna . It is a protected species.Buck kangaroo.
I wish the pictures were bigger
The Average Australian would rarely see any of these
That food pic comparing smokes is just wrong. Just the snags and mince is $20.
You have to love seeing big lizards around - especially goannas (like this) or stumpies - they seem to scare away the snakes.
I'm from Australia and you guys crack me up. Our cigarettes are aprox $75 and we have so many smokers. Our geckos are so cute, they catch the bugs outside our windows. I had a python in a roof I once lived in, I would watch it go into the tree then back up to the roof.
Rubbish.
They're not $75. Try $45.
And smokers are down to just 10%
@@antrimlariot2386 I look after a lady and Her's are $75 I didn't say everyone smokes I said there are so many smokers. And there is. I'm not saying it's band, it's just a statement. She'll love to know where you got the $45 packet from
That lizard is a Goanna - they are very docile and rarely attack when disturbed - they can grow to be 8 feet in length.
Anyone, living outside of Australia, seems to assume that just about every creature in Australia will kill you. It is far from the truth, of course, most Australians have never encountered a snake, a crocodile, a poisonous spider, or a shark. These creatures do exist but tend to avoid contact with humans.
I have seen them all in my travels and even been bitten by a poisonous spider. Obviously, I didn't die, but it did make me sick though.... I got over it... (btw - it was a Redback Spider).
Some of these things are as amusing or shocking to people who live in Australia as well because we don’t have wild life like this down south. It’s mostly in the tropics and the forests of Queensland.
Yep…lots of snakes & spiders in Queensland! This year was quite bad for snakes. Our neighbours found more than we did, but we did get one in the house.
You don’t need to be in the Forrest’s of Qld. I’m on the Gold Coast 😄 Mudgeeraba gets heaps of snakes…& the rest of course.
We have quite a few of these in South Australia, Western Australia and Northern Territory. We are part of Australia too!!
There was a baby snake in our lounge room a few weeks ago & I ran upstairs to get my dad. By the time I came down we couldn’t see it. Then I saw its tail poking out from a pile of our dogs toys 😄
My dad who has a bit of dementia just put it in the bin…& we’re like…hmm it’s just gunna climb out. He decided it wouldn’t 😆 anyway, we put the bin outside.
We are Different lot / Mob here in The Land Downunder ( Australia ) I'm from VICTORIA , have traveled tio every State & Territory within her Boundries , bot as a Civillian & a Soldier .....
That baby spider on the broom is normal here in Oz. You should see our blowflys, the're the size of eagles! And in summer we have to keep the beer cans in the fridge, not to keep them cool but stop the mosquitos from puncturing them and drinking them dry! The large Aussie 'March" Fly does suck your blood!
“It’s harmful to look at.” 😂
Mackenzie has the funniest comments ❤
that tall dirt thing , is a termite mound .
thanks Neil , you and your girl are great entertainment with your reaction videos. keep up the good work. luv yas bro.
a pack marlboro 25's cost $65 aud ($43 usd)
McKenzie.. I couldn’t live there, I’m not built for that! 😂😂😂 greetings from South Australia 🦘🇦🇺
Currently in Australia cigarettes cost around $30 per pack…. Just a heads up if you’re wanting to visit Australia best to do it in the winter most of the poisonous stuff is hibernating then..
4:30 spider frost, spider webs with thousands of spiders in them
The goanna is something that I saw every summer. We had one so determined to get into our house that it would bang on the screen door and scratching up the door frame. Lol
You probably had some good food goin’ on 😂
@@Lilione111 Well it was a Sunday. And Sundays means, the usual big family roast veggies and chicken served with plain homemade scones.
@@user-mm4rz8mk3e yum. I’d be trying to break in too 😆
I'm a proud North Queensland er and that stuff right there is a part of life lol. No drama. The goanna is a pain mainly because it eats chook eggs😂
Come on guys, it's not that bad you just have to outrun the person next to you 🤣🤣 Hello from Central Queensland Australia ❤❤
I've gotta say I love seeing the view to like ratio of these vids, shows how good they are 👍 keep up the good work
Those flies are looking for moisture
Blue Ring octopus are quite poisonous yet the venom has time limit where it start to deteriorate and if you manage to mouth to mouth and pump the heart the person bitten will in time recover
Thanks I really needed that laugh
Cigarettes have a tax levied on them to (a) convince people not to smoke and (b) as a levy for future healthcare of smokers. It seems to work as the smoking rate in Oz is now only 10.6% (though vaping is becoming a bit of a problem).
It's no exaggeration, a pack of 20 smokes costs almost $40 in the Gold Coast a few months ago.
@@rachelstevens7625 that's mind-blowing
@@dreamteamneal, if you were to buy a 50 g pouch of rolling tabaco it would cost between $90 and $100
Bought a pack of Winnie Blues 25s for $45 just this afternoon.
yay nice to see Mackenzie again :)
The cheapest pack of 40 cigarettes in Australia is $57. One packet.
The blue ring octopus injects its venom through its beak on its underside, right on her middle finger. Must be a tourist
packet of smokes like that are over $70 dollars
The giant clay structure is a termite mound .it's common in some areas of the outback. Yes they can get that big. I like to think of them as termite cities hehehe
We’re the f1 qualifying/race reactions
DTN..utubes biggest star is in Sydney today giving away 10 cars one car is a Lamborghini.
Those smokes look to be a pack of 50 cigarettes = Roughly 80 to 90 dollars
6 months ago, a pack of 40 cigarettes was $68
That packet of 50 cigarettes is approx $100/ packet. A packet of 20 is $41.99.
$12 if you know where.
I don’t let the lizards do what they want to. Do they eat the spiders, something that Big will eat mice Rats, anything small, the little geckos will also eat spiders
A 20 pack of cigarettes in Australia start around $35
Unfortunately... The pink lake isn't pink anymore 😕🤨😔😮💨
"This is how much food you can get, for the cost of a pack of cigarettes, in Australia" is extremely out of date and highly inaccurate
They eat crocks only when hungry wouldnt you ?
Where im from in Australia cigarettes cost around $50
I think we are fast becoming one of the most expensive countries. I’ve lived in 3 other countries…and we are expensive! So ripped off in so many ways.
@@Lilione111 honestly im glad cigarettes cost so much. Those who see the prices and still buy are just idiots. Just like those who buy scratchies & never win
@@sharronbrennon899 I’ve never smoked, so doesn’t bother me…but everything else is expensive too.
Mums’ friend has won lotto twice. 30,000 & 50,000. Not the jackpot, but still good 😄
I watched someone pay $75.00 for a pack of cigarettes. That is why it is rare to to find a smoker here.
I hears that
Smokes are $50 bro
$35-50 per pack of smokes
Packet of cigarettes is at least $40 here
I’m not cool with those super sized bats, lizards,& especially the spiders,& I’m an aussie.😳
Also,I’ve spent my whole life here,& I’ve NEVER seen a spider that big in real life, and I’ve never seen a lizard or bat that big either.
It’s not a common occurrence for everybody to see these things on the daily,in Australia.
This stuff shocks me as much as you! I mean a snake eating a crocodile! 😳
I live on the mid north coast NSW and we often see goannas, flying foxes, big huntsman spiders etc etc but truthfully, I can't stand the cockroaches! A lot of which have flown in from the bush!🤮🤮 I boot a boot on once, getting ready to go out. I didn't see the cockroach in it. When I put my foot in, I felt the scratching sensation and I kicked the boot off, nearly vomited from the thought, it still makes me squeamish when I think of it! 🤮🤔🤨🤮😂😂
I’m an urbanite so no thanks 😂
cigarettes around $65 a packet
Average pack of legal cigarettes is about $70 aus for 40 cigarettes.
I gave up smoking when a pack of holiday smokes 50 in a pack was about 5 or 6 dollars the the went up to 10 . Best thing I had done in a long time
May I suggest lifting your screen a little as I can't see all the writting. Thanks
At 7 minutes in the cos of a pack of cigarettes is $75au that’s why we have one of the lowest percentage of people that smoke, it’s a good thing
With guns against flying foxes? Are you fair dinkum?
Pack of cigarettes now over $50 here lol.....its all tax
The cigarettes are over priced because the Australian government taxes them at about 50%... just like they do with booze & fuel.
Can you get me on your show so I can quit my job? It'd be utter insanity and you'd have every video demonetised, but It'd be a he'll of a ride. 😂😂 obviously joking.....I don't have a job. 😂
GOD CREATED AUSTRALIA TO TRAIN THE FAITHFUL
