Both bags are beautiful! Right now there is so much hype about the Margaux being the next Birkin. Most people who decide to comment on the comparison offer the same reasons as to why the Margaux is NOT the next Birkin. They mention the hand-made details of the Birkin (valid), but they also mention the superior craftsmanship of the Margaux; they mention the heritage/history of the Birkin... this one seems odd to me because the Birkin also, at one point, was lacking the heritage/history; and lastly, people mention the iconic status of the Birkin but that was also lacking in the early years of the Birkin. So, I personally, do not agree with holding the Margaux to certain standards that will only come with time.... we will need to wait forty years before those standards can be justly applied. Until that time, let's just enjoy the quality, functionality, and beauty of both bags!
