Right on man... I don't know much about bows, but my dad gave me his old compound bow. I've only took it out once. Thanks for sharing, take care.
Nice groups! Keep flinging them arrows and maintain that great shooting form!
I have the same 45# bow with the foam limbs. I have it setup to shoot off the shelf. It’s a sweet shooter.
Good shooting! I have never been into recurves...always been a longbow man. Just finished a longbow for a friend,,,,like the hybred longbow style. Booyaakah brother! Let me when your here in Maine!
Funny. We seem to shoot the same bows through time. In first saw you shoot a Predator when I was. Then I saw you with a Shrew which I use currently for hunting. There was a PCP video too if I remember. Now I have ordered a Discovery riser and0 have 50# TradTech Black Max 2.0 I will try on it for 3d.
👍🏻👊🏻
Hey good looking setup! I met you last year at Morley Field Archery Range in San Diego. Hope to see you out at the shoots as I’m planning on shooting more outside of San Diego.
Hey Jeff I remember! Shoot me a message link on my home page. I will contact you so we can hook up and go shoot sometime.
I had to change my Whole form to accommodate stringwalking..it was tough at first but it all comes together if you take it one step at a time. I suggest a Yost tab, it has graduation marks like a ruler engraved into it[cnc aluminum or brass]
My 20yard mark is a half inch down the tab so i use it as a ruler on the string and place mythumb on the string where the mark is, slide the tab down until the top of the tab is flush with the tip of your thumb which is still on the same spot on the string. Then go to fu ll draw from there.
Also had to change my stance and shoot perfectly upright in perfect posture and fully extended to cut out variables so i could focus on the string walking. When i figured out exactly where my 20yd mark was i tied a extra nocking point on my string so that i can but up against it with my tab and automatically be at the perfect crawl..its called a fixed crwal btw.. that allowed me to then perfect my stance and form without thinking about stringwalking I figured out exactly how to execute the shot the same every time.. you gta break it down while you learn it..
But its like an onion..once you figure out one thing and perfect it..then you realize there more perfecting to do in other parts of the shot...once you fix those...you notice others.... the good part about that is you just get better and better every time you peel the onion.
I intend to get that riser. I am strongly considering the foam core limbs, for weather resistance. Any thoughts on foam vs. wood core limbs?
Same with Shibuya DX Plunger and Spigarelli Super Recurve Rest.
So Wingman115 is getting into string walking! Great! It's what I do since last year. So frustrating to develop good skills with a recurve bow.
Sweet bow! awesome grouping bro!
Nice shooting looks good.
Looking forward to the follow-up review on this model as well as the Southwest Archery Tigershark Pro.
They are in the schedule for upcoming video's. Thanks for watching.
Whys the video titled Samick Discovery ILF Bow Setup? searched for that and found this video but was expecting you to actually show us how to properly setup the bow because im a noob that just bought one and googling brought me here.
Impressive, that’s dinner.
It's a fun project for sure.
Anymore videos of the bow? Full review please
It is in the que to video. Look for one soon.
Does it have hand shock and is it cut past center and how much?
Hello Wingman. I see your shooting with a magnetic arrowrest and a button. Is it possible tot shoot arrows with plastic vanes? I think there isn't enough clearance on the shelfed riser(?) Sorry for my English I am from the Netherlands. Greetings Frits Leenders
I believe of a elevated rest you would have issues shooting plastic vanes.
I’m planning to buy. Which best 40 or 45lbs
You make your own string silencer with wool or fur? Have a nice day and take care.
No I have some rubber ones coming that I'm going to thread on.
^^ for a month i too have discovery but with samicj limbs 40# great bow
Let me know how it’s working for you.

Looking to do one in the near future.

@@Wingman115 - Thanks
what brace height did you finish up with
I think I have it close to 8 inches. That’s the sweet spot for me with medium limbs.
can anyone tell me the limitations of the limb bolts ie how far out they can be taken
3 full turns from all the way in.
Do you know what the Brace Height is?
I'm running a 8" brace and it's shooting great.
@@Wingman115 thanks for the reply I just got the same bow and it packs a punch. I also have mine set at 8' with 30" draw with #35 limbs foam
