45 is a nice size for 4 to 6 small fish or understock for low maintenece. If the rockwork is good it should be fun. My tanks rockwork wad built for room for just a couple lps not a ton of corals you can see it on my channel.
Let's not forget.. once you've upgraded and, if you are doing so, moved everything to your new tank.. you can keep your old tank and set it up as needed as a quarantine tank.
I'm so excited for this new series! I've been building my tank right along side these videos and I still go back to the original budget build videos when I need to :D Thank you so much for all the work you put in these videos learning through them has been a pleasure
I’m into 6 tanks. What I seek is different appearances and hot to do the tanks in a manner that is easier to maintain and lower cost. Planet aquarium? Mega matrix? Nice stand and canopy.
I love the +1 rule. You are predetermining that there is a level of child in yourself that is gonna want more in a month! Haha. Great video. Cant wait to see it all done!
The center brace comes out? I bought the macna display last year! I hate my sump and want to replace it. Would it be safe to remove it long enough to change sump out?
Is it a good idea to start with a setup like this instead of the budget setup? Or should I go first with the 20 gallon and then after 6 months or so move to a larger tank.
If it's your first tank and you're on a budget, the budget setup is a great starter tank. Get your feet wet, make mistakes on a smaller scale, then move up
looking forward to the next series....
sdtrautman thank you
You're right on wanting a new tank. I originally wanted a twenty gallon aquarium, but I got a forty-five gallon tank instead.

eRyc Ricardo Boom! Upgrade
First time hearing about mega matrix
Will be following this series for sure. I’ll be upgrading my 36 G bowfront in a few months.
Can’t wait to finally have a sump.

Freaky Goblin great idea!
SaltwaterAquarium going to make mine an attractive permanent frag quarantine tank.
That is what my 120 is. Great idea

Is saltwater aquarium an actual retail store or only online?
Bricks online only at this point.
SaltwaterAquarium Ok thanks!
I have a 75 and want a matrix 180
I wish they would make that series 36" deep.
I could probably have one made for you if you wanted one!
I've moved from 20g to currently cycling my new 180G, n now I feel the bigger tank is still small after a month LOL
A 180 starts to feel small after a while
@@Saltwateraquariumdotcom Exactly. Well not sure what tank size will actually be satisfying that doesn't feel small everytime u look at it
Are you going to MACNA or Reef-A-Palooza?
Deniz Iyigun we will be at MACNA!
This tank will be on display at our Booth at MACNA
@@@Saltwateraquariumdotcom Thanks for replying so quickly. I'll be going to MACNA too, I think. Hope to see you, and the tank, there.
Yes stop on by, booth 508. We will have a pimped out mega matrix on display
Budget that word that meaning it is lost on my tanks
Truth
Yes every 1 wants an upgrade. But this is not a. Budget build. That’s a $2,600 tank. Who are you kidding.
Smoky mt reefer this series isn’t meant to be a “budget” build
