As we brush the dust off our old camera’s, we're releasing footage to make room for the new because we have A LOT of catching up to do.
In this video, it's a stroll down memory lane...
After 4 years of being nomadic we've experienced several obstacles on the road. On this particular day, Carter turned on the camera to film his first vlog. Unfortunately it was cut short after a cop interrupted. Total buzz kill. 🙄😂
This is footage we previously couldn't upload because we didn't have the wifi strength. This is another common obstacle that we faced early on when we first started living in our van.

This is the main reason why Im hesitant to do road travel with my son. Im black and I worry about the police harassing me and my child. Its sad that we cant just live our lives and be left alone.
I will never pretend to know what it’s like to have a black son. It’s definitely different. My friend experience things that I don’t just because she has two sons. Road travel is so much fun and you shouldn’t miss out on it but your hesitation is valid. A cop can be dead wrong but they’ll always blame the black mother smh 🤦🏾♀️
@@FreeSpiritMom they blame Black men women and children. Their aggressiveness right out the gate is their hatred of us. They are truly sick.

So very sorry for these stressful and UNFAIR cop attitudes. You dealt really well with a pretty dreadful situation. But you're left with the repeated stress, which takes a toll to say the least. We gotta improve these messed up cop attitudes! Am working on a community board in my own locale that's aimed to address this. So very sorry again for this painful encounter.

Its so pretty there. I camped down in the forest by China Beach, and a few other places there about 10 yrs ago. Be careful there. Especially at night...keep your camera on. It is safer here in Arizona. Come here if you have to.

i parked my car accidently in the wrong spot at an apartment building, when visiting a friend, and when i came out this cop was there and i was going to leave, the cop made a big deal then he threatened me with a ticket, but finally let me go.

They are on edge because they are showing their hatred of Black people and they want you to become aggressive so that it gives them further reason to pull a gun, a taser, or arrest. Keep calm because they are trying to make you react and become the aggressor so they can justify their aggressiveness. Keep being calm and I’m so glad you and your son are OK.
