I would like to see film about WARMIA IN POLAND; 1. Gothic Frombork Town ; 2. Gothic Lidzbark Warmiński Town; 3. Basilica in Saint Lipka; 4. Gothic Reszel Town; Kamedułów Monastery on the Wigry Lake. You visit North-Eastern Poland.

That lake isn't outside the city. It's within the city limits… Just like seven other lakes that we have in the city

Talking about the history of Olsztyn (formerly known as Allenstein) I visited during the communist area in the mid 1970's. It was then pretty sad & dull and I am delighted to see the improvements in the standard of living. Whilst there I strolled down a down town center wide street and glanced up at the pre WW2 apartment building of about 6 floors.
I was staggered, considering its Nazi history/ Crystal Nacht 1938, to see a whole line of frise along to top floor of several carved Jewish "Stars of David" !!I
They gave me "goosebumps" thinking of the pre war residents and imaging the whole building might have been Jewish owned ?
I wondered how the Stars survived the Nazi rule and if now anyone notices them and their simbolic & historic value.? After all its part of the town's history and the tourist board should be interested & concerned ? There are tragically no Jews now living in the town. I took photos of the said Stars.

The Olsztyn castle is the castle of the Warmia Chapter, not the bishop's.

@@PLKartofel As a certain writer once wrote… Everything that's beautiful about this city is Prussian.
