See this is what I was referring to the other day. David Keith Williams points out the obvious with DL. Like it’s in panic mode but he leaves out al the context in why we’re in the position we are on DL. Frankly y’all leave it out too. No wasn’t doing he job to the best of his ability is one. No matter how much I love him and how good he is at developing player. He wasn’t doing it at a high level. Baker is actually doing a much better job considering he’s new and has more of a broad area for recruiting. You can see players we never thought would be pro player develop like they them guys. The ones we had were also older so how it all worked out is now Baker is in a position to do the best he can. We needed 2 years of portal heavy to stay deep and experienced. Idc about Sarks first season bc another thing y’all never talk about is how bad the player were developed under Herman and the culture straight up sucked. No need to sugarcoat it. Also of this is true and like I said it’s like context gets left out when we talked about it years ago. All of that doenst disappear and there’s more to it as well like certain players didn’t work out in the ‘22 class in defense. Back to Baker developing player, what he did last season with those DLmen was some of the best ever done at Texas in his first year. He got the most out of ever player. Give him 2 more years which includes this off season and watch where Baker takes that position
Look they’re given Arch some 50/50 guys for his deep ball next year. That way he can learn to get more accurate and read defenses for his first real time starting. It’s more like 70/30. Which will also help Arch in redzone to throw it to the taller WRs we have. They will follow more of USC next year. Unless they get what Gerry says is someone who’s really an upgrade. Book mark this and the freshman will play. Calling it out and this whole no excuse stuff isn’t a 100% guarantee they can get what they want. Just talking facts and I trust the coaches more which should be said on this stuff too Jordan Washington will turn some heads and if he struggles at times blocking they will go back to the 6 Oline package more
ACL wasn't torn. I think PCL and another one were. It's only January, if he's already jumping around without a brace it's probably 90 percent or so healed. Unless there's a set back he should be back starting football level training by early summer or late spring. Then it'll take a while for him to even get comfortable doing drill cuts on it at full speed. I'm expecting he'll be ready by week 1, but won't be great early. May sit week 1 because of the opponent, then start working back to trusting it in game speed. However long that takes is the big question. Can estimate when it will physically heal pretty well, but the mental/emotional heal is different for every person
kj Edwards thats my guy dude is a beast
