Iconic performance. It's not just the elite vocals. It's the stage craft. Her ability to convey emotions is top-tier. This was a vocal masterpiece. Morissette possesses a balanced tone - an even distribution of harmonics, resulting in a pleasing sound. Her tone has the perfect blending of bright and dark overtones that you won't find in any other female vocalist in the Philippines. She is able to maintain the richness of her belting tone up to F5/G5. She worked very hard to develop her beautiful tone. It's a special skill. This performance was many years ago. The tonal quality of her voice is even richer today. It's just special, with well-defined harmonics. These harmonics are additional frequencies that accompany the fundamental pitch produced by the vocal cords.

This may be the only 720p version around. Someone asked me in November of last year if I had this performance, and turns out I did have the whole program and this was at the end of The Greatest Showdown medley. It was downloaded from the old format TFC website, so it is a little jerky. The audio that came with the download was mono and not particularly good. They still have a low resolution copy of the medley on the ABS-CBN website, which has better stereo audio--they originally had a 1080p version on the website, but no longer, although the audio is the same. Although that video was 1080p, it was even more jerky than the 720p video, so not as good. I searched for even better audio, and I found one reaction video on UA-cam that may have used the broadcast version, as the audio sounded even better, although the video itself was low resolution--the original video that he reacted to is no longer on UA-cam, and was probably blocked or removed shortly after his reaction. Fortunately, the reactor did not talk during the performance, just stopping it a couple of times, so I was able to join the audio segments together without any discontinuity. However, the audio drifts out of sync with my video by a half a second or so during her performance at some point, and another fraction of a second after she finishes, before the closing by the cast. I was investigating software to adjust the tempo, but it seemed to alter tonal quality a little. I was able to get it pretty much in sync by adding about half a second about a third of the way into the video, inconspicuously, by extending two piano chords a quarter of a second each when she is not singing, and again at the end by adding a third of a second or so during some random noise. Even with the re-upload to UA-cam, the audio is still better than the audio that I initially had for the video. Here is the full audio-edited video used in this upload:

2:14 very pushy, squeezed and, constricted E5 accompanied with forced vibrato

@@pigeonsandplanes5805 Sohyang, your fave, lacks "core" and TA engagement, resulting in a hollow tonal quality. Morissette has greater TA engagement and a more muscular singer than Sohyang could ever be. You frequent Morissette videos because of jealousy. Mori's style of singing will never be for you - because your ears are attuned to Sohyang's core-less vocals.
