I’m a retired airline pilot, I’ve owned my Foxbat since 2016, that’s what we call the A22LS here in Australia. I absolutely love flying it, no vices & a large cabin which is actually wider than a C172 makes it very comfortable. Spares & support has not been affected since the war started.

I've owned two of these, one in Dubai, which I used to fly around the UAE desert, and one in Vancouver, BC Canada, which I used to fly around the mountains. Awesome little aircraft. STOL, and can be flown off small strips, and very slow without stalling. It's wider than a C-172, and has a view similar to a helicopter.

It's not a new thing like the title suggests, Aeroprakt have been importing to the USA for years. I have a Foxbat A22 here in the UK and it is a super safe and capable aircraft with superb views from the cabin.

@@francismoran1230 Hello from the UK. I got my licence to fly in 1987. I went on to get a commercial licence but never used it, I had a business that needed me more. I bought the Foxbat in 2014 and keep it at a farm strip. In previous years I shared a couple of aeroplanes in a group, a 172 and a C42 but nothing beats the freedom of getting into your own aeroplane just when you like. Thanks for your interest. 😀

Production didn't stop and these are so available cause the are building them like hot cakes as improvised drone cruise missiles for the UAF. These are what hit all those Russian factories and power plants deep inside russia over the last year or two. There is some great footage of one of these flying into a Russian defense complex in western Siberia! Buying a few off the production line for cash money is only some welcome subsidizing of their defense production.

Very nice -- but would love to see a folding wing kit.
Small airstrips with a small hanger are crowded and many of us dont wish to leave out on the field in the elements. I need a aicraft that folds its wings so I can put into a enclosed trailer, take it home and park in my driveway as to no have to pay storage fees. IMHO this is the market now. Ultralight is dying off becuase of old school mentality of not accomadating such needs. One of the reasons I guess Ultralight Flexwing Trikes are catching on more and more. A small hanger could store 3 times the aircraft if all the wings folded and without having to do a dance in the hanger to move an aircraft out for flight prep.
I think that would make a great topic.
