I’m a retired airline pilot, I’ve owned my Foxbat since 2016, that’s what we call the A22LS here in Australia. I absolutely love flying it, no vices & a large cabin which is actually wider than a C172 makes it very comfortable. Spares & support has not been affected since the war started.
This is a beautiful well made aeroplane. A retired airline Captain friend of mine has had one for many years
Please don't call it "The Ukraine". That is how the Soviet Union referred to it when they viewed it as part of their empire. It is Ukraine, an independent country, democratic, and trying very hard to maintain their autonomy against a large and belligerent adversary.

They are so independent that they would be gone without us. They sacrificed a generation of young men for a war our CIA started. Ukraine has no elections and has no free media. This is not the type of country we help but use. The american people move on to the next thing quickly. Most of us have the minds of goldfish.
@jordillach3222 A generation of young men are already dead. What are you trying to save? A bunch of land for Ukrainian or Russian oligarchs? Because those are the only two options left.
I like the plane and the install but the music is just not necessary and really distracted from the video. So many UA-camrs make that same mistake thinking that music enhances the video.
Good video Bryan! AeroPrakt has been doing great work, both for commercial aircraft and the occasional drone to serve military purposes.

It's not a new thing like the title suggests, Aeroprakt have been importing to the USA for years. I have a Foxbat A22 here in the UK and it is a super safe and capable aircraft with superb views from the cabin.
Great way to support Ukraine
and strictly speaking these can be classified as Warbirds, since they've fought in Ukraine in actual combat. they were used as drones to strike targets in RUssia.

During the Cold War , Ukraine has always been the center of the Soviet aerospace industry. The work force in Ukraine was always much better than the Russian.

you'd think the wonderful welder they have would build an adjustable height mobile rack to facilitate the assembly of the wings since they literally throw away tons of steel frames the planes come with....

Why is this aircraft called the Foxbat in the UK & AUS? That's the NATO designation for the Mig-25, and that doesn't look like this at all!

We have one in our light sport club too, it's the trainer plane. It's a little primitive :) it has a soviet air to it. They should transition to a sleek composite construction

You realize that many of the avionics are American. The engine is Austrian. Combined, they are about 2/3 the cost of the aircraft

As a private pilot who is shopping for light sport aircraft for purchase, I will make it a point to cancel this aircraft from my list of possible purchases.

Strange I don't remember seeing that in any of the support bills for Ukraine was it somewhere between all the old military equipment? Wait let me guess you never even looked at the bills and are just mad because someone told you to be. By the way even if there was no old military equipment we end up paying to destroy lets pretend all the aid sent was pure cash at 175 billion that's $525 divided between the 333,300,000 people in the U.S. and then accounting for the top 10% paying 60% of federal taxes most normal people are only having like $200-300 of there taxes allocated to Ukraine and again a large portion of that aid is in old military equipment and the U.S. deficit means it's even less then that. If you don't think stopping a fascist expansion is worth that then you're a pretty piss poor excuse for a freedom loving American.
