Yeah a little. For a character that never speaks prior to a game its tricky. Just look at Metroid and Legend of Zelda. Both at one point had voice actors for characters who never spoke. It was greeted with horrible backlash.
P3 side definitely has it better with all of the Persona 4 cast doing friggin JoJo poses. And GOD I'm playing P3 side and listening P3MC talking feels so weird. It sounds totally like Yosuke (I know it's the same voice actor, but still, it feels weird, P4MC VA is cooler :V )

I find bits in video games like this funny, because you can absolutely *negate your foes' existence* and your party members will still act as if you scraped through on 1 hp. Especially Chie, who seems completely exhausted despite not actually having a role or even a turn in the battle.

Damn this game looks/sounds good. The animations (both 3D and the cutscenes) are way better than in P3/4 and the music just kicks ass, maybe even my fav persona soundtrack. Voice acting is fairly high quality too. And the references make this even better. I'm so gonna get this game once I buy a 3DS. One question about the battle system: Is it more like the press turn system used in Nocturne or does it copy most mechanics from EO(never played any)? Definitely going to follow this playthrough!
The gameplay is kinda like the Persona series, a variation of the Press Turn system, I guess. Then again, the EO and Persona battle systems aren't that different so you're going to be comfortable with it.

This boss was hard even on Easy mode... or was I on Safety? I have no idea. Point is it was extremely tough. I only had the back row survived in my attempt (I had P4 protag, Yosuke, and Teddie in the front, with Yukiko and Zen and Rei in the back). I just kept spamming the Healing Stone and attack until I won. Nobody had SP and the back had little SP by the end of the battle. Is there any way for me to help me make the game go more smoothly with fights? All the fights are tough (especially those freaking boulders with Stona and Power Charge...). Right now I got P4 protag, P3 protag, and Teddie in the front, with Yukari and Ken in the back row. Please leave tips for the future. This game is not easy. Even on Safety.
GalJenna I'm not sure if you still need help, but I'll give you some pointers. Physical attacks > magic attacks. Magic costs too much sp for too little damage, and aren't necessary to hit elemental weaknesses due to there being elemental physical attacks. Sp is also MUCH harder to restore than hp, as well. Magic attacks such as mazio that hit all enemies are still useful for a good chunk of the game, though. Regarding navigators, fuuka is generally more useful than rise, as her healing capabilities are so good you don't need to use a dedicated healer on your team (although having a support character with a media- line skill isn't a bad idea), and the end-of-turn heals she provides are perfect for restoring any hp used for skills. Lastly, Naoto (and characters like P3MC who also have high luck and agility) is EXTREMELY good in this game. Impure reach and a skill like mamudo/ mahama make random encounters a joke. Impure reach also increases the chance to land ailments and binds ( poison and confusion being the best ailments), making Naoto exceptional at dealing with both random encounters and boss battles. Anyways, that's just my perspective on things and I hope this can help you handle higher difficulties. Feel free to ask questions if you have any. :)
How'd you get Magaru on Oberon? I'd like a multi target skill that's not on Yukiko or Teddies default persona and I'd not like to level Oberon to level 10 to get Mazio.

Off all the boss fights in this game, nothing beats the first when it comes for sudden reveals like when the other group shows up :)

Everyone has a wild card in this game, though i think you mean it looks like the generic horse mask you can get from most stores.
So everyone can have multiple personas now, just like the older persona games.
I suppose, it's only limited to two personas at a time however.

You could always fuse or find Alp who has magaru by default
