- Saki, for as long she can remember has lived a perfect life. She has good grades, is good at sports, has understanding parents, and can practically do anything. But when it comes to handling her emotions and friendships, everything is not as perfect as it seems. Will Saki be able to finally see herself the way her friends perceive her as? Or will she stay on this high platform of her perfect self for the rest of her life?

Saki is a interesting but confusing character cuz in the beginning of episode 1 she's like a kind smart and reliable person. Then when Izumi ends their friendship and Saki laughs about it, you see her as a snobby spoiled brat. Then with the fight with Mari you're glad that someone is trying to put Saki in place but at the end of the argument you feel kinda bad for Saki especially when she cries, and then in episode 2 you can spend 3 hours trying to pick a side.

@@pinkmoon7z You can't really compare it to other series because there are so many out there, but I do agree to an extent. Her development is written quite well and I really like how flawed she is! All of the character designs are fabulous too

i relate to saki, im quite insensitive to others feelings, even though i try be more self aware, i struggle, and all my friends end up not talking to me
Same, I can relate to her too. I’m not too self aware. And sometimes I can be or come off as rude so my friends don’t leave me, but they’ve just gotten used to it.
Saki’s friends, Akane and Kira , are so nice , but Saki is just misunderstood . Shes so caught up in herself she forgets simple acts of kindness. You can see how we feel bad for Saki , but we have to look at it from different POVs.

I found this series a few days ago and now I love it!
I hope everyone knows that friends, aren't just people you hang out with, they are the people that will influence you the most during your childhood and as you grow up into an adult. Real friends don't just compliment you, they also give you good criticism (like Mari). Holding your angers in just because of one friend is not a healthy relationship for both you and him/her. I hope everyone knows that you lose the people you care about the most, when you think YOU are the CENTER of EVERYONE and EVERYTHING. Thank you.

Saki is such an interesting character. She has so many good qualities but those good traits are nearly completely numbed by her bitchy personality. All of this, however, gets thrown under a new light when you start realizing that she isn't completely aware of how her actions and words affect others, if she's at all aware of how mean they are in the first place. I can actually relate to her a bit. A lot of the times I'll unknowingly argue/fight with someone but, to me, it's just a discussion and nothing bad is happening. I've almost lost my best friend because of that, and while it was happening I had no idea that I was even upsetting them. (Then again, I'm getting tested for autism soon so that may be why cause I do at least try to be nice to people lmao)
