Bristol - The Future City

As we tackle the challenges of Covid-19, inequality, climate and ecology, our ambitious plans for billions of pounds of investment, mass transit and flood mitigation are focused on unlocking jobs and building homes for citizens right across Bristol.
We want to recover and renew the city responsibly, putting sustainable inclusive growth at the heart of everything we do.
Ambitious regeneration projects across the city - including Temple Quarter and St Philip’s Marsh, Western Harbour, Frome Gateway, Bedminster Green, Hengrove/South Bristol and Avonmouth Severnside Enterprise Area - are focused on supporting the needs and aspirations of local people as well as supporting inclusive growth and a zero carbon city. Plus housing projects co-designed with local people such as Lockleaze and Southmead will create mixed communities that work for current and future generations.
Like all cities, we have our challenges. But with a focus on sustainability, inclusive growth and a values-led recovery from Covid-19, we are creating the homes and jobs so Bristol is a place where everyone will flourish.
