"With the ongoing water crisis in Flint still unresolved after a decade, what do you think can be done to address such public health emergencies more effectively in the future? Share your thoughts on #FlintWaterCrisis and how we can prevent similar scenarios.
@@toxicdubz3841 Lol. Hey man. I was just kidding around. I'm not a native there so I wouldn't know. But from the very little research I've done, it looks like there was some sort of progress, but it hasn't been fully resolved yet (which is crazy to me). Some homes and apartments still has traces of lead in their water supplies. If I were you, I would check with your supposed landlord or if you're staying on campus, I'd check with the university. Get their confirmation ON PAPER if possible. OR, you could look for another place to do your schooling.
The funds are there and the work is not being done? Sounds like a third-world country, doesn't it. This has been going on for years and years. This is a disgusting situation, and Flint isn't the only City in the USA where it is unsafe and unwise to drink the City-supplied water. I hear Jackson, Mississippi has an undrinkable water supply. What is the matter with the USA? You send billions each year to help other countriesb but you don't spend a fraction of that to mend infrastructure to stop poisoning your own people with lead-contaminated water. I am glad I don't live there and, every so often, I hear of shortfalls in the US infrastructure that keeps me away from visiting the U.S. on vacations. Come on, America, fix up your own country and take care of your own people before you spend billions trying to fix up other countries.
Flint should be paying every family to move out if they wanna choose money over public health involvement elderly, children, and adults. Everyone gets affected by it except the people who run the city
I am an ex Environment Canada employee with first hand knowledge of official corruption in motion when it comes to minimizing levels of contamination in our drinking water. It might be a surprise to many Americans to know that their northern neighbour's water is every bit as contaminated as the water they drink.
That mayor sounds like so many politicians who just don’t care, and he has an arrogant tone. “We will not rush”, but they do need to move with urgency.
Some may not have the resources. I can't imagine living there for 9 yrs with no proper resources. It's very sad to see there's no change after all these years.
Really would not be drinking tap water even outside of flint. The tap water quality in the us is just low. If you’ve been to Northern Europe, or Japan etc you can literally taste the different.

Obama Failed Flint Michigan.
None of those politicians should get a pay check until it's done. Aren't there records that detail what kind of pipes were installed and the location?
This is a crime against humanity.
So is the open borders
@@rockystelone21complete opposite
@@cecilio-ci1pb no it's not when the open borders have allowed killers, rapists, mental and fentanyl to cause harm upon the citizens of America.
It's been almost 10 years and FLINT IS STILL POISONED! Wow.

I wish our tax dollars went here instead of to Israel.
More went to Ukraine than Israel but you left that out. Im guessing you support that proxy war that dementia jo is pushing.
Fr help your own country not others

How did just cut your losses and move. That mayor obviously just cares about getting a paycheck.
I just watch the documentary about flint to think this is still going on in 2023 crazy.
I live in Michigan and thought this was fixed years ago….
This is so disgusting and enraging.

This is awful
So sad. I was born and raised there. 60's-90's
You have funds for cell phone service, smokes, hair updues, nice cars and clothes but not for a water filter system. The word is call priority
This was supposed to be gentrification in the form of genocide. Again, the spirit of the people prevailed.
