I always found it funny how on the outside most people think Sum 41 are tame because of being pop punk. But behind the scenes these guys were wildn' out tripping balls and causing mayhem all the time
I don't see why they are viewed as that level of "pop punk". They were quite "anti-pop" but obviously they used the good aspects of pop in their music. Sum 41 is more punk than most punk bands.
Jerry seemed to be an amazing guy. He produced so many great records and every time I see someone talk about him, yeah, it seems He was an incredible human being. Can't believe he's gone for this long. Yet he lives through every record He did. Definitely a legend.
You are really on to something there !!. Perhaps the people in power will see or hear this and go oh yeah that's something we probably should have done, but still can do
Also I know you guys don't usually play anything from Screaming Bloody Murder but if you do remember September 6th I will really appreciate it, but if not I understand and no worries and I am so fucking excited about going to this show.
Sum 41 really was lucky to be relevant from start to finish! God I remember in /2016 with all the controversy around the “fake my own death” music video! So many things got blurred out! I’m saying this because so many bands of the 2000’s faded away and became nostalgic bands, but I hear people jamming new, and old sum 41. Whatever you guys did, it worked!
It's funny though. When you take Mushrooms and come down about 5, 6 hours later, if you take more, they don't really do that much. Even doubling the dose, it's like your head becomes immune. Lsd different story.
yah, i never got the "brag about senseless destruction" narrative. i get it. a Bunch of dudes, in a room, stressed, pressed and held accountable that they impress "sell". Oh wellz, different strokes peace
RIP Jerry. Always intrigued on how he eq'd guitars and which gear he used. Such an iconic sound.

Really ?? They always gave off wild boys at least in the earlier days I think during chuck is when they got serious or tame as you call it
