Have you ever taken a playing lesson? If so, did you feel like it was worth your time?

It was definitely worth it when I took my first lesson because it took a few strokes off my score.

You are so right about playing a round with a teaching pro. As a young teen I was fortunate to have playing lessons with a pro back in the early 60's. Sam Penecale was his name at Whitemarsh in Philadelphia. I was also present when Gary Player, Sam Snead, Cary Middlekoff and other PGA pros walked a hole with a bunch of people and we all played each hole with a different pro. That may not happen the same way again but what a fantastic learning experience it was. Later I was team Capt. in high school, played for my college team for 2 years before enlisting. Playing the game of golf often enabled me to re-focus in life and tough through the hard times. I would love to see playing pros do something similar again.

That was interesting to watch and Brad was a great chap, it was like he's one of your pals ! The best comment was Mike, I even take divots with the putter !! In the UK a European Tour caddie set up a business where tour caddies will coach you on course and it seems to be very useful. I think Rick did a vid a few months ago.

Fantastic video. One of your best. Really enjoyed seeing an instructor that can provide feedback and tips, but also make it enjoyable and fun. Brad was solid. RIP Mike’s coffee though, ahaha!

How much fun was that? Just great stuff out there. I was working on the very same thing with bow of the wrist through impact. It's made a world of difference. I continue to practice that slow movement as a warm up prior to hitting balls at the range and it's part of my practice swing on the course. Exaggerated for a reminder. Another great vid from you guys.

The reason you catch it on the heel, and early extend is all in your back swing pivot.
On your back swing, you are pivoting off your right hip, thus moving the center of pelvis towards the ball, and then pivot around your center pelvis or left hip coming down, creating early extension and hitting it off the heel. This also causes you to steepen your shaft since your hips are closer to the ball.
Try to turn around your center pelvis and have your right butt push backwards on your back swing.
I'm no pro, but had that exact problem not too long ago, and it just stuck out. Hope it helps ya.
Haven't been to Pound Ridge in few years, nice vid!

Mike you need to make sure that you fire your hips and start your downswing with your legs and make sure you're pulling with your left side (left arm pull) to get rid of that over the top thing.
I repeat fire your legs from the top and pull with your left arm and you'll stop coming over the top and taking steep crisscross divots
My go to swing thoughts are 1.head still 2. fire my hips and 3. pull with my left arm

I'm thinking about getting one, might get stick for this comment but I play off 28, but at my home course if I took my best score for every hole and put it on a card id be off 12, alot of my trouble now is course management and shot selection. One day I'll be good
