Could you make another video about more styles such as: shabby chic, farmhouse, French county, English county/ cottage, Bohemian, Moroccan? Also another video about blending styles together such as Bohemian Farmhouse, modern French country etc. Love your videos!❤️
I am going to be honest, my college education was really bad, so bad that all i have is a degree in interior design with no knowledge of designing. The only thing i know are softwares but what good are they if i cant even design properly without rhythm and harmony. I have been following you since my first year of college and when i'm looking for job i realized that i knew nothing about interior designing. I was just looking some tutorial for revit then i thought lets just learn stuff from the scratch and here i am actually learning something and i really hope that i will learn so much from you that would make me a good interior designer. Thank you so much and i hope that people like me find people like you so that they could actually learn something like me. and you really are a genius when it comes to designing of any sorts, love your work on Instagram.
Graduated with an architecture degree and saaaame. I feel like a fraud calling myself a designer because I have no idea how to envision a space. Thank God for youtube
Zahira we're building a home by the end of the year. I've watched every video you have in one sitting. Your vids really helped me explore my creative side and opened me up to interior design. My style is 100% contemporary for sure. Before this vid i thought I was minimalist but I realize the truth now. Thanks for the vid. Keep it up!
Hi Juan Carlo! Thank you very much! 😍 I love contemporary i think it define my style too. 😁 i wish you the best with your design and your future home ❤️
I would love to see a video about decorating to fit the home you are in. For example, I love rustic elements, but the bones of my home are very traditional.
I must be glam, my couch is pink velvet, I have a mirrored vanity, a brass bedside glass table and two gold lamps ☺️ Thank you for the links! You're the best
my style is everything, omitting Traditional, Glam and Minimalist. Everything natural, cozy, warm, raw materials, pipes, chains, wheels, steampunk lamps with fur shades, all kinds of mixed up coziness with lots of function to everything. No visible clutter, I'm over the 'saying' art (over did it and now I can't stand it) and just really want to have a cozy, warm home that everyone can enjoy without feeling stressed by clutter. Loved the video, thanks for sharing it with us. Peace
I'm definitely minimalist but I kinda felt in love with japandi stile! I think there are few aspects in common between these two styles also. Thanks for this video, your channel is inspiring me a lot!
Hi Alessio, thank you very much!!! if you're minimalist yo are a practical person, personally i love this style because is very abstract and artistic. Since Japandi is a mix whit scandinavian (which has a minimalist breeze) it it's very easy to incorporate some elements to mix those styles, also Minimalism design has been highly influenced by Japanese traditional design so they're family.
I love Scandinavian style, mid century modern, and when you introduced Japandi, I fell in love. You mentioned we can mix and match different styles. This is what I want to do, but I’m afraid. It would be awesome if you made videos on how to effectively do that! Great video, thank you!
Eclectic! Love a mix of rustic/industrial with a splash of scandanavian. It's warm, soft and inviting, everyone who comes in to my home say they want to kick their shoes off, grab a cup of coffee and a blanket. Love, love your videos!
Hi dear! Wow you’re so stylish, i like baroque combined with contemporary, i love the contrast between the two styles. Thank you very much for sharing!!!
Hi Zahira, My 8 y.o daughter randomly came across one of your you tube videos and I couldn’t stop watching your videos after that. I am a now an avid follow and I just love how you describe and explain things in practical details and make it understandable for non ID people like me. And now I am seriously looking at taking short ID courses as you have inspired me a lot. We just moved to our new home and late did I know that my style is CONTEMPORARY ! In our masters though I want to put a little bit of glam to my walk in closet haha. I wish online consultation is welcome with you ! Thanks and more power ❤️🙏
You might like the steampunk design style, it’s a marriage of industrial and Victorian/Edwardian design styles, a bit more futuristic machinery and old fashioned elegance, but you should definitely check it out for elements that you might like about it.
I am a glam rustic girl sharing space with a minimalist teen. I'm stressed! Most of my gifted furniture is traditional. I'm going to try adding color and accessories to give it my touch. Thanks for this video
I loved this video! I'm a Glam girl but also love a contemporary look too. My friends all have different styles and I love seeing different designs and adore them. Love your channel ❤️ You nailed all these with colors etc. well done. 👌🏼💕😘
Hi Patty! I'm happy to have you here again! i understand you, i love all the styles as well, each one it's different and have a philosophy and history behind it.Thank you very much for your nice comment! xoxo
Definitely Industrial/Rustic! We have a farmhouse in PA; the core (small) stone two stories were built in the late 1600's, the "new" wing in the 1870's, and we've added a large wing. It has 13 rooms now. We raised six children here and have been working on our home for 30 years. The part visitors see is stunning, but the rest is circa 1950!
I want to study interior design and I was wondering if you have some tips which other styles are a must-to-know... I try to research a lot for the university assignment tests and your videos helped me a lot! Thanks for your help and your inspiration, you are my idol right now as you know so much and your designs are amazing! 💕
Hi Vanessa, I love to know that my content has helped you. There are many styles of design since each one is born as a consequence of specific periods. In this video, I only explain 10, but I have pending to do another one with other styles. A good way to understand styles is to study the history of art since styles are a reflection of the social, political, artistic, and geographical situation where it's developed. Other styles are: Art Deco, Maximalism, Art Nouveau, Transitional, etc. :D My best wishes with University Assignment. ❤️
Hi! I just wanna let you know how i so love your channel. Among all the interior designing guides here on youtube. You give so much information on how to do things which are the important things I need. Hopefully, I could apply this to my new house.
I'm a mix of styles, currently planning a modern black and white kitchen. I love natural light. White walls seem to be my thing right now too. I am loving this insight into design that I am getting from you, thanks.
My biggest issue is that I love so many of them that I end up with no definition whatsoever cause I pull from all over and then my house just basically is a mess. How do you feel about different rooms in the house each having drastically different design styles? also, how do you feel about mixing industrial and mid-century modern? I think that would most describe my preference. If I had to choose one, it would be mid century modern.
Concur! Japandi style is trendy right now, but those of us who define ourselves as Eclectic, Are willing to share the stage with French country, English country, cottage, bohemian etc.!
I love the japandi for my living room And contemporary for guest room Tan white grey are my colors I love them and i love you Why didn’t I know you earlier 😍
hahaha, It happens the same to me!! I love all and each interior design style, each one has its own beauty and philosophy!!! 😍😍 btw, the good thing is that you're already here so welcome !!!
Hi, Neha! 😍❤️ Japandi is one of my favorite too. Yes i will, thanks for the suggestion! I'm sharing the principles of each interior design style, maybe it would be the next one! Much love ❤️
Love the way u explain n confidence in you is outstanding .. love your designs ... planning to interior my new home ...ur design ideas are my inspiration. I love diy repurposed furniture and keep space open and bright. I feel my style is combination of rustic, industrial, traditional yet japandi.. i would love your suggestions to fulfil my dream house.
After watching this video, I learned that my design style is also Japandi. You helped me narrow down my style. Thanks a lot! Now I know what to design my condo.
Thanks to share with me your style! So You're elegant and chic!!! At home i have a mix too, my base is contemporary with a little touch of Scandinavian and some Modern/Mid Century Pieces. ;)
I feel like I can relate to each style. And I've taken so many online quizzes and it's different every time lmaoo. My bedroom is grey and white walls, white bed with a grey fur throw. White and marble furniture, with gold and metal accents, but I also love bringing in warmth and color with plants, flowers, fairy lights in certain areas since my room has no windows, and I love different types of stones/rocks with different tones. A lot of my pieces are geometric like wall mirrors and table decor but I like it next to the rock lamps because its gives clean but warming vibes to the room. Most of my palette is neutral but like I said before color will pop in the decor (golds, maybe pictures etc) and plants (I love cute plants around everywhere). I love geometric ceiling lighting where it zig zags over each other. I'm so confused on what style I gravitate more towards. I love a little bit of everything.
I like the hybrid- Japandi style because it appreciates raw materials like wood and the warmer colors. I like more colors in any type of design style. Thank you for sharing.
Zahira , due to budget constraints I have learned to mix styles flawlessly. My favorite finds are from the 30,40,50's. Art , lighting and using the correct combination of colors, textures and textiles can pull a look together without being to " by the book" . I do follow the "laws" of design and do not have a favorite style as long as is not over the top, that being said, never heard of japandi and I'm falling hard for it.
Yay! Another video with awesome content. I find my style is as you have put it, a blend of different design styles. I like to call it eclectic. My furniture pieces are almost all minimalist but in natural wood tones. I love my clear eames plastic chair which I have paired with my dresser. I also have some warm throws in chunky wool that I knitted (rustic!) And my favourite rug is definitely industrial. Sounds like a lot but I chose a colour palette that works. I love my little space!
Hi!! Thank you very much!! I love to share design content to all of you! :D Your combination sound very good! At home i have a mix of styles as well, mixing and matching styles are a good idea to create a personalize one and to have a perfect atmosphere specially for you, where you can feel happy and comfortable. At the end this is what a home means.
I love scandinavian and contemporary. Maybe my fav style is the mix of both. Using high and exposed legs furniture simple and clean lines as well as bright and clean wall, warm floor (parquet) ..
I would enjoy seeing more vids combing these styles. My style is a cleaner traditional style but I want to shake it up with glam and contemporary accents! Use glam Lighting, your gold etageres, instead of heavy bookcases I have, contemporary clocks, mirrors, accents, coffee table, cool new dining chairs at my medium toned traditional dining table. I really enjoy your site. Thanks for all your hard work!!
I love your videos so much. When I found this one I got so excited to know. I instantly fell in love with the Scandinavian design and was sold! But then industrial came along had a warm look and well I am weak....THEN I HAD TO PAUSE THE SCREEN. What in the world is JAPANDI! Literately a mixture of the nice clean look but the great warm look as well! Thank you for posting this video so know I know.
Love Glam/Contemporary style for my Family room and kitchen but I also love traditional for my master suite... so I guess I enjoy different styles in different spaces... not sure what that makes me... but this is how I love it!
I have to admit that I am so obsessed with the Minimalist and Scandinavian home design style...clean, simple and futuristic style, my way of home decor^^ By the way I like Japandi home design style too^^
I think my style is contemporary furniture with a pop of color. I REALLY like the exposed legs and the clean lines but I love pops of color here and there! BTW thank you for the videos they are super informative
I'm currently working with an architect to design my first and probably forever home (I'm 44) He showed me 3 styles common in the state: Mexican contemporary, Spanish colonial (not the same as colonial in the U.S.), and a mixed modern style you'd probably find in many parts of the world. I instantly feel in love with the contemporary example, "casa sisal" and found the colonial example blah and the mixed style ok, but uninspired. Although I won't be able to afford the huge sliding windows of casa sisal and my house will be much smaller, I'm trying to apply many of the design elements that gave me the amazing sense of peace I felt looking at photos of it online so instead of the huge sliding windows two sliding doors for plenty of light, concrete floors, clean lines, high ceilings, and that beautiful slightly-warm Maya-influenced chukum texture instead of panted walls and tiles. I love the lack of unnecessary framing and edging as it looks so uncluttered. As for the styles you mentioned in the video, I'd say I'm a mix of minimalism and industrial.
Got hooked to your channel. Renovating a house now and was really getting confused on how to decorate.....until I discovered your vids. Getting educated. Was minimalist, now Japandi. Will go Industrial for one part of the house though. Cheers!
@@DSigners I'm very scared to ask you for hints. I'm softwaredeveloper. I code in my homeoffice. I lerned from you to design a minimalistic smal room with blue accent color to increase my Work. But i don't how can i start paint. ceiling blue and floor white or upside down and what wall accents I have to use :-(??? I love hexagons as a wall pattern. Do I use hard or soft wall accents? Can I use simple trigonometric or quater wall accents??? Anyway it is an honor for me to write with you.
I love you interior design, you are indeed a blessing to the Interior industry. I'm a beginner in the world of interior designing & I'm fascinated with your awesome designs. Thank you for putting out this videos. Ma, what software are you using for your video editing
I just moved house and my new style is probably a mixture between Scandinavian and mid century modern - with a slight 70ties touch. I like clean and simple lines, but wanted to add some warmth with colour and texture.
Sound very interesting, i think the wooden furniture pieces that characterize the mid century modern style can looks like very well in a Scandinavian atmosphere ;)
Love our videos 🥰. I am excentric and love to mix: from barock and vintage, to flea market and ikea. know how to combine individual pieces, it never gets boring. my clients love it.
I just built a house and the name of that house is "bir -wabi sabi". Bir is a place where paragliding takes place. I am mixing both the art Scandinavian and rustic. But when i heard about japandi from you, i was very happy. Now i will use this art. Thank you very very much .

I think my style is contemporary furniture with a pop of color. I REALLY like the exposed legs and the clean lines but I love pops of color here and there! BTW thank you for the videos they are super informative
Thanks to you, I finally found out what is my style. Scandinavian with industrial! Thats it
That sounds very authentic, mixing both styles would be very interesting, I love both styles! Thanks for sharing! 😍
I am a mix of Glam and Contemporary. It is hard for me to limit myself to one or two but these two speak to me
hahaha, it happens the same to me! mixing and matching styles can be very interesting, the key is balance. 😊
Cheers!
Minimalism definitely ^^! Thank you for help me out to find my style!!!
Love it! Minimalism is everything 😍

I like them all...but Japandi is my fav..its peaceful and relaxing
I love Japandi! Is a perfect Mixture. As you said is very peaceful, relaxing and very stylish! Thanks for share
Happy to find your channel. Love your accent, and your style of teaching.
Mid Century Modern for me definitelly
