Cracking video mate, just scrolling through the older videos as haven’t been here long. It’s a real shame now with what’s happened to orchid god knows what’s going to happen there fished there once and really wanted to hit it this season but doesn’t look like it will be open fish are absolutely stunning pal well done
Great little video fella. As luck has it I was also on the lake at the same time. I was over in boards which was just a few up from the Royal box. Cracking fish!!
Yeh there are some absolute minters in there buddy! Over the moon to catch those and both known 30's at the right time of year! Deffo gunna get back there!
Great video mate. Like the editing. Not too long on each bit or too much waffle! Well done on the 2 fish. I have fished there and always caught stunning carp. Tactics - its always my dilema on a new water, if you see fish, you dont want to lead about too much or spomb incase you spook them off, but then you dont know what the bottom is like so its a catch 22.
Thanks bud! I dont have the time like some to make fancy edits, i prefer what goes into the content to sum up my session really! Yeh.. It is one of them do i dont i but i knew fish were in the area so rather than rushing into it i deffo thought it through as to what was the best thing to do and luckily it paid off! Cheers for watching!
in my opinion its best when u fish get there to put a few baits out without spooking the swim in case there are fish there already. then after a bit if u have no takes then u can go ahead a check the bottom n spomb a bit if necessary
Hi Martyn, just come across your channel and I've subscribed. Really enjoy watching you. I'm a female carp angler and hoping to be one of the first female anglers to make videos. Keep up the great work 👍
Christopher Warren its just a prologic brolly with a couple of stormpoles and my bivvy overwrap just chuck it over when its due rain otherwise ill just use the brolly normally
Good video-only thing i would have done is cast to the showing fish earlier.Maybe one single to the island before setting up bivvy then set lilly rod and island rod after wards. Great session tho-good fish
To be honest I did think about it but not knowing what the bottom was like I didnt want to just risk a rod for the sake of trying to get a quick bite when I knew the fish were already in the area or at least scooting around the island. Knowing I was there for 48 hours I wanted them to go out right first time and then sit on them waiting for them to come back around the island or pass through. Anywhere else that I knew of the make up of the lakebed I would have normally plus the brolly took 5 mins to chuck up! :) Thanks for watching! Appreciated :)
I didnt say it would be a good idea.. I said you could.. But it wouldnt be a good idea as you wouldnt be able to get them back out! Its all well and good hooking them but no point if you cant get them back in.
One film that slipped the net, 2 epic looking carp mate, superb result 🎣🎣🎣💥👍
Thanks 👍

Great video mate. Can I ask, do you use a figure 8 loop knot on your rigs for attaching to the quick link swivel?
Believe it or not.. I use a simple overhand knot. Has never let me down.
