- This is a lovely song that I dedicate as a holiday gift to all my Filipino. Asian, and Indonesian friends, and I hope I am not insulting them by doing so.. I never heard this song till VERY recently.. It was suggested to me, and I loved it.. I see the difference between so-called 'American' music and songs like this.. And I enjoy and respect it.. Americans are too cynical to like this song en masse, and as an American, I'd say it's a damn shame..

This song definitely is one of the best songs ever written and it became a wedding song for Filipinos since the 80's right after the song was released. Sadly, the composer of this lovely song already passed away if I'm not mistaken, during the early 90's his name was gerry paraiso a good friend to the singer of this song basil valdez. Well, he could have written more songs but he passed away at an early age but again we're so happy to have witnessed and heard the artist & composer of this song.
