My labor was so similar to yours! Had to be induced, labored for 32 hours, epidural didn't work, felt everything, pushed for 3 hours- exhausted doesn't even begin to describe it. You are a super hero and baby Arrow is beyond precious. Congrats mama, you did it!!

Are stories are very similar except, I pushed for 3 hours then ended up with an emergency c-section. Delivered a 10 pound 24 inch baby.

From those of us who had “traumatic” births ... we feel you. You are a trooper. *all moms all types of deliveries are all troopers* My son was born at 40+2 and was 8.13 lbs and 21.5 in, he barely squeezed out of me, I can’t even imagine. So excited for your upcoming videos!

Omg ...im one of the lucky ones. I started my labour at 11 pm . Slept through it and woke up in the morning with contractions that were feeling mild and very little painful.
I went to hospital at 9 am and was 6 cm dilated .
Had my baby at 11pm after a slow-ish progress,no pain relief what so ever and only pushed for 20 minutes to give birth to my son. Had a first degree tear from pushing to hard 'apparently '.
I'm left with a fatter belly but no stretch marks and I have a wonderful 2 year old boy . I'm now 4 weeks pregnant with number 2 at 39 years old .
    Life is definitely so unpredictable

Loved your labour and birth video! I've had 2 kids and I'm pregnant with my third, I'm 27. My first experience I had an epidural and diamorphine. It was horrendous. That baby was 7 lbs 12 oz. The second time I had no pain meds and it was amazing! That baby was 6 lbs 9 oz. I think pain meds severely impact the body's natural ability to know when to push at the right time and feel all the sensations you need to feel to bond with your baby correctly. God only knows what my third baby will have in store for me! Xx

I pushed 3 times. My baby’s head came out the second push, her body & placenta came out the third push. The labor was quick as hell & as smooth as could be BUT then I started hemorrhaging for 4 hours after that, lost 2 pints of blood & had to have a blood transfusion. They had to do a uterine sweep, & man oh man the PAIN I felt.... birth is absolutely crazy.

So if you’re planning on having more kids, the path has been paved well, so hopefully you’ll have an easier time next time!

I felt like I pushed like 17372829 times and the midwife just kept saying one more one more and he's here. WHAT A LIE that was. I pushed too hard and tore. The stitching was the worse part 😖 oh how glamorous childbearing is.

My nurses did the same with my 1st! They kept telling me okay! This is it! Just 1 more push! And I got so excited...... no. I pushed for another 30 mins 🙄

That happened to me too. This time I'm skipping the midwife and not pushing but waiting for FER fetal ejection reflex. Your body pushes out the baby

@@lyricjezebela6887 I'm not a mom but I'm so confused by the instructed pushing. Shoudn't the body know what it's doing?

Johanna Müller Yep! Even if you were in a coma your body would still birth your baby. I've been chatting to my midwife about epidural and she said she women are much more likely to have a longer labor and more tearing because they can't feel what their body is doing and end up pushing too hard. If you can tolerate and feel your way through the pain your body can get the job done quicker and easier.

After my second (and last) birth, I wondered about this myself. I remember asking if I had to push and being told I had to by the midwives.I researched a bit after the birth and found all the freebirth mamas. There is something called " breathing down the baby" that is much more gentle on your lady parts. All of your round muscles are connected. Your eyes and mouth are round muscles and when you squeeze them shut, as you do with regular pushing, you actually tighten your vaginal muscles as well. In theory, if you were to open them wider, it would be better.
      You can feel this yourself:
Do a Kegel. Then try one with your eyes and mouth squeezed tightly. You should feel that you can contract your vagina much more tightly when you also squeeze your other round muscles.

So amazing that u managed 2 push her out urself after all that time and even tho she was so big! My baby was early and only 4lbs 13oz but after pushing for hours they had to cut me and pull him while I pushed 😖 all was well though he is 6 years old now!xxx

I got induced too. My rectal pressure was insane with an epidural too. And after FIVE HOURS of pushing they wanted me to do a c-section. So they gave me a booster of epidural. After rolling through the OR doors I felt like I REALLY needed to push so they were just like sure whatever makes you feel better. And she emerged! The relief was amazing, pretty sure that’s why I cried, not just from seeing my daughter lmao

Hello from Norway ❤️. This was refreshing.. I have watched so many youtuber births now, where the moms to be are curling their hair and put on makeup, and like you said.. sneeze out a 6 pound baby with an epidural, and goes home the same day😂 bless them🙏 Your story was almost exactly like my 1. one... So painful. And long . .24 hours hard work.. but it started at midnight, so 24 hours on top of a full day, I was pretty tired.. pumped... I only got laughing gas.. felt the need to push so so early, at 8cm.. I couldn't hold it back..so I just pushed.. I ripped a tonn, needed a surgeon to somewhat make me look normal again down there. . lost 1,2 liters of blood.. and my baby was the same size as your baby, almost exactly the same . But he was perfect when he finally arrived 🙏❤️ Watching your birth vlog now.. And I hold my breath with you when you push.. you where a champ mama!💪 My next 2 babies where even bigger, so please hear me, c -section really is a big... huge blessing for me, nowhere near as painful as vaginal birth, and so much easier recovery.. so I can really recommend that in the future, if you feel your next one also is big.❤️. my biggest was 10 pounds 5 onzes.. I'm 5,4 feet.. my doctors though she would be 12 pounds, 2 ounces! Luckily they where a bit wrong. 😂 Congratulations with a perfect "little" baby! That's my kind of normal size... You did awesome! Love from Marte in Norway 🇸🇯

Second baby same..third i said nope bc all it does is cause me back issues for a year at least. 3rd baby came faster with no pain management i pushed her out in 5 minutes. But a 9 pound baby!!! Omg my hats off to you.

Do you think having endometriosis helped you with the labor pains? Like, did you have a stronger pain tolerance because you were so used to that excruciating pain? That's what my mom has always said to me because I have had terrible endometriosis for 18 years now.

I commented a couple weeks back and told you I was also a slender pregnant lady, all belly, 5’4, overdue, like you, and that I had TWO 9 LB BABIES lol, the next baby will likely be big too, if you have more eventually. Congratulations, she’s beautiful, you look amazing and somehow rested 😂 I looked like a zombie when my babies were newborns.

I was just like you with my first but my hospital is small and doesn't do epidural. I was in labor for 3 days and pushed 3 hours... She was stuck behind my hip bone and they had to reach in and push my hips apart. There is hope though! My second I only had to push twice and she came out fine!

Your story is so similar to my mom's with me! She was (is lol) 5'4" and weight 110 lbs pre-baby. I came out weighing 10lbs 2oz and the epidural did very little for her; she said that, by the end of it, she was frozen up to her armpits (I guess 30 years ago, they administered epidural meds a little differently), but could still feel a ton of pressure and was still in quite a bit of pain. Glad you and Arrow are doing well :)

Congratulations!! My son was 9.5lbs. I had a long labor, 42hrs. I received the epidural after 36hrs and thank God because I had a 4th degree tear and an episiotomy. 😉 the epidural didn’t work well but was definitely helpful!! That was 8 years ago. For my second in 2015 we chose a c-section and was 8lbs...currently pregnant with my 3rd and It’s hard to decide!!

I have a few family members who are anesthesiologists and I was actually told being completely numb and not feeling anything is a BAD epidural. Apparently you’re supposed to have some sensation so you know when to push. I would guess extreme pain from pressure is also not a perfect epidural. My experience was similar to yours, epidural took all of the contraction pain away but the pressure was almost unbearable.

I just had my baby girl on May 9th, I had a very similar experience to you!! she swallowed meconium aswell, I was so upset that I couldn’t do skin to skin and they took her away immediately. Because of covid we couldn’t visit the nursery to see her, it was a good 5 hours before I even got to look at my babies face :’( I also had the same type of internal tearing, I am grateful as I know a women who had the highest degree and that sounds awful. My baby Arielle is healthy and even though I was TERRIFIED of birth, I wouldn’t take it back. she is SO worth it ❤️

I had the same problem with the epidural working everywhere EXCEPT the catheter. With my 1st baby, when I got the epidural, I thought it was going to numb everything from the belly down but the catheter I could feel and it was pretty painful! I kept asking the nurses why that was happening so they kept turning me to my left and right and it didn’t help. Super strange! Baby #2 due in 2 weeks now so we’ll see if it happens again 🥴
