Philippe gave me my first diving lesson in his Beverly Hills home's swimming pool (July 1973). A few days later I drove a truck from L.A. to Saskatchewan, Canada for an expedition and film on Beavers. I later advanced my diving training and ultimately became a member of the Calypso dive team. ( I was aboard when John Denver visited. John gave us a wonderful concert on the foredeck of Calypso.) I write about all of this and more in my book Frogmen. Check out my non-profit, FutureFrogmen.org. We support education and exploration of what Captain Cousteau called "Our Water Planet". (We are also on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.)
