Actually, it is still useful to put Efficiency V on a shovel. What if you're underwater or have mining fatigue?
plus, it doesn't even instamine grass blocks, only dirt
You arent getting through prismarine with a shovel
@@CheeseMiserfor sand or gravel
@@Starstruck_Seven if you have mining fatigue, you're inside a temple
@@CheeseMiser you can get mining fatigue if you're within a certain radius of the elder guardian, and it's slightly larger than the temple itself. I've gotten mining fatigue from swimming over a temple on the surface
9:35 as a person who is dyslexic and gets lost easy due to it, i can tell you that the lodestone was the quality of life update i needed. trying to read the crowded f3 menu with dyslexia was a nightmare before this feature was added.
I don’t even have that and it’s way too cluttered for me
Im unlucky when it comes to structures, they might me 500 or 1000+ blocks away from me and i get lost easy so lodestone is useful for me
The EMD F3 menu is also annoying for me, too.
God help you N0tFoynd4o4
Just get it from a bastion
Honestly considering how easy copper is to come by when mining, especially up near the surface, I see no reason not to shove it all into builds. Once you've got a couple of lightning rods what else are you going to do with it?
Plus, unless you're specifically going for one of the partially weathered states, the "opportunity cost" is a non-issue because you can just go do something else while it oxidizes.
@@colefletcher3495 yeah it does

Make brushes for archeology. Lot of archeology
A note about Cut Copper Stairs and Slabs. The Stonecutter can be used on Blocks of Copper, making production of stairs and slabs much more efficient.
Yea, I'm surprised he didn't know that. I guess he... skipped the tutorial :P
and copper is stupidly easy to find, since it spawns in large veins, each ore drops multiple nuggets, unless you count the coal possibly used to smelt it as expensive, building with copper is actually really cheap
hi
Also that the stonecutter can turn a copper block into 4 cut copper blocks instead of one makes it more efficient as well
If you want bookshelves, just loot a stronghold. One library will get you about 4 stacks of bookshelves. If you do this, you’ll have all the books you could possibly need for villager trading and anything else.
Or you could get infinite bookshelves via villager librarian trading. Zombify and cure the villager until the libraries cost one gem. You could get another villager who wants books for emeralds for the full combo

Dude, gilded blackstone, while its usefulness is practically naught, is one of the BEST blocks for building. I remember being on a server, just taking like the most part of a day to go down to the nether just to fly around and mine out all the gilded blackstone I could find. Sold it and made SO many diamonds lol
i cant find a villager buying gilded blackstone on my single player world
i think they meant sold to other players.. villagers dont trade in diamonds.@@The_Dr_Fate
@@VSucc i know
@@The_Dr_FateTry looking for Steves, Alexes and other types of Players in your world, they might buy it from you for diamonds. It's a lot harder to find them and trade with them as compared to finding and trading with villagers, but it could maybe be worth it. Maybe.

Obsidian actually IS farmable, if you put a cauldron under a dripstone that's under a block with lava directly over it.
you can also make a farm using the end platform and the wither

Getting an Efficiency 5 Shovel still makes sense, since you probably have an Efficiency 5 Villager anyways.

I actually mine down entire Bastions just for the Gilded Blackstone blocks. Are they pointless? Yes. But do they look cool…? ABSOLUTELY!
*I use them for decoration.* 🙂
Woah put down the gun jamal
Unbreaking on a flint and steel is useful because it has low durability. It's better to have just one inventory slot used by it instead of 2 or more

I had to object to how the jukebox is *finger quotation* "Useless". I love how you can have music in your treehouse base, (I'm a creative mode kinda girl obvi) and it's just relaxing! Plus, in Survival, it's cool to show off to friends.

Fun fact about the overworld gold farm - unlike the nether ones this one doesn't rely on the mobcap making it equally efficient on servers regardless of how many people are on (before each player got their own mobcap)

The rarest block is in fact, deepslate emerald
Really? I find them all the time😂
This is true I’ve only found 1 in my 3 years of minecraft

The IRON-y (lol) that he makes fun of copper the day that Mojang releases MC live for 1.21 with so many new copper-type blocks is actually hilarious.
especially because the recipes are even more ridiculous
6:32 Copper stairs can be made in the stonecutter. One block produces four stairs.
you can actually use bone blocks from fossils for bone meal. It’s much faster and gives a lot of bone meals
edit (70 likes): wow i didnt expect to get this much likes thanks yall :D

The nether is amazing for bonemeal farming
True
For tip 9, I always have 10 obsidian for the nether portal, then collect the 4 other obsidian on the other side for an enchantment table.
14:55 However in Bedrock, fish have a chance to drop bones, making this farm maybe more useful in Bedrock Edition
No idea what the drop chances are, although i do get it decently often.
9:19 ah yes i love using 4 netherite scrap and 4 ancient debris to make 1 netherite ingot
6:49 tip you can put copper blocks in a stone cutter
7:39 just grab a silk touch axe and get the book shelves from the stronghold library 🗿
If you're playing multiplayer, minecart chests can be useful for transporting resources from one base to another.

I use loadstones all the time. I started my world in 1.14, so a lot of my farms are spread out over thousands of blocks, since i need to travel that far to reach new features that weren't around when my world was new.
Remember what you did with the chest minecarts, and you accidentally bumped them? If you do that with TNT minecarts (100+) then you get the most expensive and destructive object ever.

That might just be the most humane use of foxes I've ever seen discussed on this channel
8:50 actually the rarest banner is with LIME dye because you need white dye (bone meal) or you could just find sea pickles which is also rare

nah i found them in coral biome when i was tryna find stronghold today 24 Dec 2023
Because I use infinite lava sources and use the bucket method to build my portals in the overworld, I build my portals with obsidian corners.
Also lets you set up infinity fuel for all your furnace needs. All my crafting rooms have a little lava river.
if i'm honest, the rarest banner actually is a banner made of naturally spawning pink sheep with either brown dye, since you can just trade cactus with a wandering trader and then put the mojang logo on it, that's the rarest banner
hey flying machines still have use! like going to the end islands or looking for end cities without constant bridging, and people have made flying machines that can move up, down, left, right ,back, and forward which is controlled by flint & steel, theres another use
Flying machin has a use in that putting an AFK character on one of them is the sanest way to reach the End border
19:13 shout out to the proto sky series where people had to actually do that to ge emeralds, which in turn was their only way to get their first dirt blocks
The flying machines actually have many uses, one of them is automatic farms

Honestly the best way to get bookshelves is probably to follow one of the multiple things that point you towards structures with bookshelves in them.

or just buy them from librarian villagers ...
Im pretty sure either the naturally generated lapis or diamond blocks (Both in mansions)Are rarer than gilded blackstone
Bowl of cereal and an upload. Perfect!
We need to have the ability to trade emerald blocks for stuff. With items worth doing so.
Imagine a computer system in minecraft hooked up to a giant piston contraption moving around pumpkins placed after being automatically harvested from a farm
Fun Fact: It's better to use stairs than a cauldron for infinite water since it never goes away. It's actually infinite water. Looks neat, too.

Grian's a hermit, he don't count cause everything they do is expensive XD
The copper blocks hit so hard, I built a wizard tower out of Deepslate and Copper blocks with blue wool decorations and warped wood so I could have a black and blue colour palate.
It took SO SO FRICKEN LONG for the copper to oxidize.

Hi jimmy. Oh sorry Ken didn’t see you there .
Ahhh the nostalgia of yogscast man. Minecraft parodies stay legendary.
You know, we're all still waiting for 91 spud facts that actually blew your mind lol
In modded minecraft I made a full beacon where the blocks were Golden Apple Crates. So each block was 72 gold ingots, whereas a normal gold block is just 9
Copper building blocks may seem expensive through the crafting table, but put them through a grindstone and you can easily get stacks of the stuff. No, seriously, one copper block can turn into 4 cut copper blocks or 8 slabs!
You mean stonecutter?
I just realized that someone out of like the millions of viewers one person will watch these and physically go through the pain of obtaining all these and is probably still stacking up to this day
In single player the lodestone isn't that useful, but I've used them for navigation to friends' houses in multiplayer!

Bro, if i remeber correctly, you can get maybe up to 3 raw copper from one copper ore, so, no, copper is not expensive because it drops so much raw copper aswell as being very common to find, i have found multiple veins of copper before even finding my first single block of iron ore.
Edit: also, theres not much that much else to do with copper, only the lightning rod and spyglass to get the advancements but they only need like a few ingots but after that you can get so nuch so easily its perfectly fine to use it as roof blocks.
I mine gilded blackstone for the aesthetics, it is such a nice looking block

6:58, never name your sword that. It'll say sharpness 5 when it really means sharpness 2, and you'll need to go on a huge mission up in the clouds to get it up to sharpness 5. And even then, it'll still find a way to lose any fight you get in.

I've always done the nether portal with all 4 corners, it just doesn't look right to me without them or replaced with a different block.
Tbf I always do the 2 top corners and not the 2 bottom ones (as I build it ground level and I don't understand why everyone makes it 1 block high)
and I build mine 3 wide so it has a one-block center... OCDness lol
Edit: *5 wide including the frame
@@IsaiahSmith-yc1mqI also make mine with an odd number for the width, easier to decorate in my opinion
Crying obi is better for the corners

i'm thinking about doing glowstone corners
I agree with most of this but with copper even though it takes 13 ingots you can also get way more ingots from each ore if you have fortune
and you only need like 9 ingots to make 3 lightning rods, and three may be all you need.
