- I walk through the old Medieval town of New Ross and then over the hills to Waterford City. But along the way I come across something that you will see all over Ireland in recent years. I should I say, something you see less and less. It is wrong that these establishments are being closed down in the name of convenience and I sometimes think this is a reminder that communities in rural Ireland should take a stand and make it known that they have a say when it comes to decisions which affect the fabric of their given towns.

The last bit when the rain was falling was oddly my favourite bit. You are just so content and happy in yourself. Whats the difference between a hike. And a through hike.
A through hike, generally means doing the full trail in one multi day effort. Probably more of thing where trails are longer.
It’s mostly used in America and refers to hiking a long distance trail continuously in one go / one season 🙏
