An engine misfire is when a cylinder has an incomplete combustion ignition or has no combustion in the cylinder.
Each cylinder needs the correct air-fuel mixture and Spark to complete combustion.
If the vehicle only has a P0307 Code, then the components on that cylinder should be tested.
A cylinder's individual components would include the coil, injector, spark plug, and spark plug wire.
If there are other engine codes, then there may be other issues.
For example, multiple misfire codes (P0300, P0301, P0302) can be caused by low fuel pressure, bad sensors, vacuum leak, and more.
Possible Causes of a P0307 Code:
Bad Spark Plug or Spark Plug Wire
Bad Coil
Bad Fuel Injector
If Equipped, Distributor Cap
Mechanical Problem (Valve, Head Gasket)
How to Troubleshoot a P0307 Code:
The main things to check for is Spark and Fuel on the Cylinder #7.
Locate Cylinder #7
Check Spark Plug Wires and Coil
Check for Spark
Check Spark Plug
Check Fuel Injector Wiring
Test Fuel Injector

I have a 2008 Aspen Hemi 5.7 and it continues to read the same codes P0300 and P0307 it’s also been shaking a lot and turns off out of nowhere when driving it. I’ve also already replaced all the spark plugs and fuel injector. I honestly don’t know what else to do man.

I just bought this 97 mustang gt only one code pops up P0307 when I turn on the car you can't hear any misfire but when driving you can like sometimes when I'm getting to 30mph you can start to feel the car feeling a Little weird almost like sluggish so I let off then go back in it easily n it will pass 30 mph without it feeling sluggish then sometimes it won't feel like that getting to 30mph it'll feel like that getting to 40 mph but that's the only time I feel the car having an issue

Often with V8 engines one cylinder misfiring is not too noticeable with the engine more sluggish than usual. Cylinder 7 likely has an issue and needs fixed.

You likely can drive it, but it will have less power and use more gas. It could cause other issues; for example, if the injector is bad and dumping fuel in the exhaust, it can clog the catalytic converter. I would get it fixed.

Hi, what if misfire occurs in middle to high reving, is this electrical issue?

I work at a ford dealership I just bought my Camaro 2 weeks ago. The engine started shaking I took it in and had our Chevy tech look at it. Here is his diag: FOUND OIL ON CYLINDER 7 SPARK PLUG AND OIL ON
TOP OF CYLINDER 7 PISTON
PISTON INSPECTION FOUND RINGS HAVE FAILED
AND ENGINE OIL IS ENTERING THE COMBUSTION
We replaced all 8 spark plugs the boot and wiring and the engine started shaking more. How fucked am I

If the rings are failing, the engine will need to be rebuilt to fix it. It should still run for a short while until the plugs foul out unless there is a very bad leak.
