Hi guys, if you found this guide useful make sure you hit subscribe and the bell to be notified when a new tutorial is released. let me know in the comments if you have any feedback or requests. Which is your favourite civ to do this with? Would be great to hear from you.
In feudal I tend to usually go straight archers or a men at arms strat with towers or archers. Don’t normally use eagles until imp. Meso civs aren’t my strong point to be honest lol. Normally crossbow, siege and trash
Hey man! Thanks for the compliment and feedback. Having some sort of info graphic is a great idea. I have been asked a few times to mention which civ to use but I sometimes forget or have already made various videos since lol. I think most of the generic build orders are done now and am moving in to more civ specific build orders. With this particular build, it’s more about the best map rather than the best civ. this is mainly if you like the unique unit of a certain civ and want to use that, this is how to get it ASAP. Like longbows first example. In terms of maps, best to be used on closed maps or a map that can be walled easily enough. :-)
I use this one in Arena with Magyars. Works well of you kill of their scout. Shoot down the gate, throw the Magyar Huszar in, forward seige and the game is over in 22.
Just pointing something out, after the 2nd boar lure, in the description on the right, you're supposed to send two more to berries but you sent only one. Sorry if it offended you. I'm very picky when it comes to build orders and i try to perfect it.
Hi, it still had the correct number of villagers on berries. Instead of 2 berries, 1 boar and 2 berries, i went 3 1 1. I must have slightly adapted the play through to account for the the timing of the first boar running out of food. Don’t worry, not offended, it was a long time ago when i made this guide and the channel was still new.
@@MorleyGames1 ah ok. Makes sense. I've tried some build orders on my own and I've realised that if it's not down to the perfect build, it doesn't work. Thanks for clarifying
Im new to aoe2, does mongol hunt screw up boar timing on this? Also if im going mangudai+rams should i build smith+range for thumbring? Its same wood cost and ill want it asap anyway
In terms of building a range instead of a market, you’d need to build a barracks as well so would be spending twice as much wood which could harm your initial mangudai production as you really want to get them in to play ASAP. Sure, you will need to get a range for thumbring fairly soon after that though. But if you’re planning on going for rams as well straight away you will definitely not have enough wood for barracks, range and thumbring. Also with thumbring, it costs 300 food to research. 300 food at this point is huge as, in early castle, you will need your food for the blacksmith upgrades, eco upgrades and villager production. I would recommend building a university and getting ballistics instead. Ballistics will be better for mangudai as you will generally be doing hit and run tactics with them and it is much more accurate vs moving targets where as thumbring is only 100% accurate vs still targets and will have very very little difference vs moving targets. Again, a heavy wood investment to get the uni and ballistics but there is no food cost involved there. Personally I would add rams later once your eco is bigger. I would instead go for a stable and knights instead as well as mangudai. You can then get bloodlines and husbandry from the stable which will also upgrade your mangudai. Also, rams and mangudai would get easily cleaned up by knights and skirmishers.
Also, there is another video on the channel for this build order but is tweaked for building wood based units like mangudai. It would be better for you than this video :-)
I forgot to mention, yes you will need to get the second boar a little earlier :-) apart from that it just means you’ll be making farms a little sooner
You will need the scouts into archers build order (link to video in the description of this video) and then when you are about to click up to castle age, move 7 or 8 villagers stone (up to you where from) by the time castle age comes in you should have almost enough stone. Maybe get the stone research from the mining camp too just to be sure

How do you do the meso civs for fuedal agression, get eagles ready in imp/castle and how do you use them?
In feudal I tend to usually go straight archers or a men at arms strat with towers or archers. Don’t normally use eagles until imp. Meso civs aren’t my strong point to be honest lol. Normally crossbow, siege and trash
When I do use eagles it’s mainly for eco raiding
Love this build
Good job as always: maybe you could suggest the best civ for each B.O. at the start of the tutorial (with an infographic, why not) :D

Yes it’s great on arena. I was using it a few times last night and managed to get a little win streak going.
We will have to have a game together sometime :-)
If the the ping isnt too bad, sure thing

Good one mate thanks!
No problem mate, thanks for watching. Glad you liked it
Is it possible to add a drush into this build? I am quite afraid of progressing straight to castle, and will be harressed by the enemy
Yeah of course. I will get it done for you. :)
Thanks bro!!

Malian castle age tc rush build order
So what if i want to make a scout/archer rush and then transition to unique unit?
You will need the scouts into archers build order (link to video in the description of this video) and then when you are about to click up to castle age, move 7 or 8 villagers stone (up to you where from) by the time castle age comes in you should have almost enough stone. Anyway to get this replay?
Unfortunately the video is as close as you can get to the replay file
