- I am going to show you how you can upgrade RAM of your Lenovo G50-80 Series.
Lenovo G50-80 ram upgrade, will help you to boost up your Lenovo laptop speed and performance. Upgrading Lenovo g50-80 is easy and you can do this by yourself after watching this tutorial.
You can easily upgrade Lenovo laptop by changing its ram. Lenovo g50-80 has two ram slots, and supports up to 16gb ram upgrade. I have added 8GB RAM in addition to 4GB default RAM which comes with the laptop.

Bro I bought a 8gb ram to upgrade my laptop as 4+8=12gb I bought the 8gb as the same specs of 4gb but if I installed both no display comes if I remove any one the display shows .and the 8gb ram I bought is a sodimm ram but when I see in task manager it shows as dimm form factor please say what can I do?

It happened to me.. i pressed on the start button for about 8 seconds and the the display com back.

Now since then, I am facing a new issue.
It is going to sleep while I am using it, and I have to log in again. In an hour at least it is going to sleep 4/5 times.

Try re-inserting the ram because this happened with me on my old laptop and I solved it by re-inserting the RAM

Most likely, the ram wasn't inserted properly, I would recommend removing the ram and then insert it again

In my g50 70 lenovo laptop there are 2 ram slots slot1 and slot2.I removed the already installed 4 gb ram(from slot 2)and inserted in slot1 and a new one 8gb samsung ram I inserted into slot2...I can see the total 12 gb ram in my pc but I am not getting the desired speed. Is it because I have to also get the ssd installed or any other thing?
That's strange, RAM doesn't affect speed much but it still does improve the performance of the laptop

Not much sure, but if you want to upgrade you will need to change the motherboard

Both are of same freq, ddr3 but different brand ,are they compatible?
It's better to get same brand, otherwise the rams may not function properly
As i have built many pcs i will tell you that there is no issue as long as they r same freq and ddr3

I've inserted another 4GB RAM trying to use it in 8GB Dual channel, but the fabricant and the frequency are different.
Now, task manager shows me in 'Confirmed Ram' a total of 8GB, but in 'RAM Used' it shows me 1,5GB from 4GB.
It's weird. Also, the program 'CPU-Z' show's me in 'Memory' section, Channel single and only 4GB.
Might it be because Dual Channel didn't work?
It hasn't happened with me, so I can't be sure but I'd recommend removing and then re-inserting the ram
I'd also recommend checking the about section in settings
