this definitely resonated with me because im the exact same way. i always called myself a novelty chaser because i would pick up a new hobby, hyperfixate on it for a few weeks (if it even got that far) then i would get bored and the cycle repeated. my house is full of supplies of different crafting hobbies that i once picked up and then dropped. sometimes i get back to certain ones when im in the mood, but i find it hard to commit to being good at something because the problem is i want to be good at them all 😭 but on the flip side, i think it's okay to go through life and just do things that spark your interests without fully committing to it. life's too short to box ourselves in, so hang in there!!
i feel like things like these that are so deeply personal are super hard to put out there and i really really wish it was seen more. always a fan of you and your big huge brain.
Felt this, here I am with a degree and still not committed to that field. However, I believe eventually everyone finds their own calling. I don’t necessarily think it’s self sabotage, well for me at least. I feel like it’s about finding out about yourself, thus leading to indecisiveness. But yea I feel this on a personal level, still haven’t found my calling either.

SOOOO true! i've picked up so many hobbies that i've cycled through and am not super good at any 😭. i agree, life is too short to box ourselves in!
im proud of you, and I get the fear of wanting to settle for me is the longing for more but sometimes it feels nice when things stop moving enjoy it
