Thanks Ali! The magnets worked out great to hold the metal pieces in place. I've got a lot more welding to do though, thanks for always supporting the cahnnel!
Great videos! Try not to throw away that grinder tho. If you can, take it apart and see if it was the cable that got disconnected inside or if the brushes on the motor wore out, it could save you some big bucks there. And also great welding job, I've been working on my 86 and I've gotten a lot of inspiration to keep working on it since I watched your vids. Keep doing that you're doing cause we all appreciate it From Guanica Puerto Rico 💪🏽💪🏽🇵🇷🇵🇷
Thanks for the suggestion and kind words! Its so cool these videos are making their rounds in Puerto Rico 😁 I'll try and take the grinder apart and see what the real issue is with it, maybe I can salvage it. Thanks for tuning in and supporting the cahnnel, much more ae86 content to come!!
@@TheBSRecord Im not a fan. Your running down the value of the car. There always worth more standerd. It's OK for a rally car because it' make s the car more ridged but not a clean road car. But each to there own
Thanks for commenting and I definitly understand where you are coming from. If it was a true gts and not sr5, I would feel a little more against the shave. However, I also want to build this car for me and have it look the way I want, regardless of what is done to it. I want this ae86 to stand out in a show and I really hope this shave will accomplish just that 😁 thanks for tuning in and supporting the cahnnel!
Is there a fuse inside the grinder? The breaker for the outlet was fine since the other tools plugged into the extension cord worked fine. Thanks for the suggestion though, I will take a look. Thanks for watching!
TheBSRecord , if the outlet fuse was fine. Take a look at carbon inside it. It replacble. Btw, i do admire all your hardwork. Can’t wait till everything done bro. Keep up. Ae86 everyman dream. Lucky that u have it all this while. Keep up.

Thanks man!
I did to mine a few years ago!
Was it a lot of work? I am dragging my feet on mine because I am burnt out on it haha
Worth it!
Looking great bro. Keep the content coming. Can’t wait to see the end result. Have you chosen a color for the car yet?
Thanks man! As for color, I am still undecided. I do have a couple colors in mind though 😁
I think unless you plan on taking apart anything, welding and shaving the seams is a good idea. It should make everything look like one piece.
I think so too, I'm going to try and weld and shave the seams for that perfect flat look 👍 Thanks for tuning in!

@@TheBSRecord You're welcome. Keep up the good work on your AE86.
Grinder died just because of the fuse bro.

You can also check the brushes inside the grinder they usually go out and need replacement 🤙🏼
