- Being a referee is really not easy! While some decisions may be more clear-cut, some are extremely hard to make! This video will show you why.

Some of these are even hard to tell from slow-motion footage, remember that refs have to decide in 1 second with normal speed and not always perfect angles. If anything this should teach people how hard it is to be a ref and to respect them and their decisions more.

This logic is flawed. Unfortunately, this excuse of "referees have to decide in real time" no longer applies with modern day technology. This applies to every sport. Modern day technology has made it so that instant replays are accessible within seconds. Therefore, there should be no excuse as to why replays aren't allowed to be used to determine goals. Referees should no longer have to make "split second decisions". Yes, of course it is hard and nearly impossible sometimes to determine a play in real time. But if you are given to tools to make the right call and decide not to let the refs use it, then it is the sports organization's fault.

first 2 are wrong
1: Obvious goal
2: No goal the goalie has the ball on the line.
3: Goal. The ball is off the inside post.
4: No goal due to Goaltender Interference from black nr 40.
5: Impossible to tell. On one picture the ball is over the line but on the next it is not over the line.
6: Bad angle impossible to say.
7: Goal because defender is pushing the attacker in to the goalkeeper.
8: No goal because the white attacker is lying down when he scores. He should have 2 min suspension there.
9: No goal but a penalty shot for white because blue defender is lying down in the goalkeepers area and uses the hand to stop the ball from crossing the line.
10: A little bit hard to say but i do not think it crossed the line therefore no goal.
True,I agree w u but not w 8 it is goal bc he scored before he was on the ground so that’s the goal
i think that the first one hits the post because if it would have been a goal the net that shields the back post would have stopped the ball and the 8th was a goal because he shot it while he was in the air and he didn't jump himself he got pushed by the black shirted player
Last one wasn't even near crossing the line. Clearly goal keeper got that first. Not a goal
I agree mostly but:
2: Goal, the ball has crossed the front edge of the goal line. That's enough.
5: I'd say it's a goal. The ball looks like hitting the goal ground. Hard to say if it was in in the roof too.
8: Goal. The black guy's stick hits the ball in the goal. Also if not scored, that should be a penalty shot due to hitting the stick from behind and pushing.
I agree with 4 not being goal, but my reasoning would be that he deliberately jumped to get the ball (which is not allowed) and hence it bounced off his chest (which is an illegal goal, it must be scored with the stick or deflect from your body afaik). I see not an interference from black 40, if anything red 9 is interfering... but this is only my opinion, I may well be wrong as I am not up to scratch with the rules anymore

number nine blue should be a penalty shot handball in goal crease
Number 3 was in finnish floorball derby match. It was also a playoff game and oilers lost the game because of referee not counting that as a goal. The season was cut short cuz corona but that decision could have dropped oilers from playoffs.
More referee situations
With 5 angles replays in super slow motion we all can see how ball crosses the line half inches in 0,05 seconds. Oh c'mon now, really???

Nr 8 no goal. The player is both inside the goalkeepers area and is lying down.
2nd one was not even close to being completely over the line...
