Silage 24 gets underway LIFTING & PITWORK JD 9800i and MF tractors carting 23/04/2024

Finally some drier weather for getting some land work done . T.K Robinson working for Mr M.Fell in the lune valley lifting some rye grass ready for planting Maize . Lifting J.D 9800i Massey S7719 & S7624 J.D 155R tractors, not that heavy a crop ,but good quality and still soon as a lot of farmers are struggling to get there slurry and till on, Please give a like and Comment it helps other people see the video, thanks, more vids in pipeline .

Have to say that field looks a hell of a lot drier than down here in West Sussex going by the ruts left after they started chopping near here on Wednesday .

@@alanswainson2683 Yes it was dry land, but 5 miles away on clay just getting muck and fert on now and still soft, cheers.

That defenetly is a light crop but quality, don't know how farmers could pay a contractor per acre to lift such a light crop, Here in Ireland 140 per acre heavy or light.

Thanks for the comment, i am sure you are not the first to think that, crop had to come of to get Maize in, next Slurry, bedding muck, till, plough, and then power harrow then drill maize total cost ££££££ 🤔, but all part of the thing called farming to feed the millions, cheers .
