I came across your channel on UA-cam about and was so surprised what Franklin Mills looks like now. I've been an amputee for 10yrs now so I don't get out as much anymore to see the City, I'm glad I came across your video & I subscribed also. It brung back so many memories of Port Richmond, My Auntie lived on Cambria St. I would take my Mom down their every Sunday to visit her sister. Your videos bring back memories when I used to drive these Streets.
That log cabin on Lawrence is of relatively recent origin. The cabin was built by hand in 1985 for around $50,000 by artist Jeff Thomas. It's positioned on four plots of land that once belonged a former girlfriend of Thomas'. The conceptual artist had just moved from West Virginia, where he had constructed a similar log cabin as part of a 1970's "back to the land" commune. The commune's days were short-lived and he moved to Philadelphia and built this log cabin from poplar trees he had trucked in from West Virgina. Thomas put the cabin on the market in 2018, and I'm not sure if it sold. The building is ~1000 square feet and has 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom. That's all I know.
Missed ya at the game tonight cap. It was crazy!! Place was rocking all night, especially when Estevez came in to close. Gave Luke like 17 high fives for ya. He predicted Schwarbs and Casty to go yard. Such a legend that guy. GO PHILS!!! OUR DIVISON!!!
Still fish off the pier at Pulaski Park the rebuild of it is beautiful. I also used to fish those piers behind the old grain elevator before it was demolished. My friend knew a Conrail cop years ago who gave us a key to access certain piers to fish off of. Good times.
Hey Philly Captain great video & more thru Phila..Nice built Bridesburg trail park by the Del River..Also nice new condo complex at the old Phila Electric Plant..Tootles
"The iconic log cabin house in Northern Liberties is for sale, asking $639,000." "Built for $50,000, today it’s on the market asking $639,000 and is being sold as-is."
Come to Allentown this holiday season to the iron pigs stadium. They are putting on "illuminations" at the ball park. Gorgeous lights tree etc. Fire pits, entertainment and bring Kevin along because they'll have train rides p?lus Santa of course
I really thought we could get through the summer without these car freaks doing this stuff in Center City. 😮 Did they forget that one of them was shot and killed by a state trooper last summer? The guy had a confrontation with the troopers on I-95 near Penn's Landing.
Ivan Putski, aka Ivan Bradnawski (going by memory of his real name) Polish Power! , I had someone who married a Aunt of mine, years before Iwas born, They used to Wrestle in Europe, Haystax Calhoun was in their Troop. I think My relative was STAN NOVAK, maybe 1962? or so, They used to go to ALL YOU CAN EAT places in Sweden, The MEAL was always compted, for free..If they promised to NEVER RETURN. They ate that much.

Great vid Cap!
The river looks great!!
If the city really wanted to. they could deploy tons of cop cars, block all intersections surrounding the bullshit giving the riders nowhere to go
I think you should think about that for a while 😂
This going to be good💥🔥.

I just looked up the listing from 2017. It was built in 1985 for $50k as a home/ art project. It’s not a historic home.
@@shadowdog500 No one said it was historic...lol
@@-FALKORat 5:34 he said it was one of the oldest houses in Philadelphia.
