By the way, it' really annoying to see Vanessa's acting talents so underrated in Desperate Housewives. Without trying to replace Sheridan's character, they could've come up with a real storyline for her, but instead of, we just get some mini-stories with her which don't really put her into the spotlights. She had a true interesting role in Ugly Betty, she was fantastic. I could murder Marc Cherry for all the mistakes he's done. Still like the show though ...
The show lost its way when they made Alexis the focus of the show. It lost its over the top appeal. We can't really blame ABC for pulling the plug since the ratings were in the cellar.
It sucks thath the show's getting cancelled, it really does, i'll miss it so much. It's rare of having shows that just try and diffuse good mood and happyness....
This look is very similar to the cover of her first album "The Right Stuff". She looks great...sure she's a little older but she's really aging gracefully :)

Ugly Betty is one of the few shows that make me laugh out loud! And Wilhelmina Slater is one of the BEST characters on TV! No one is as sexy or devious.

When you see the audiences, people only watch detective shows, which are all the same ( to me ) : NCIS, NCIS Los Angeles, The Mentalist, CSI ... I mean don't we have enough of these shows ?? And now we have another one : Body Of Proof, which is even more boring and cold. When you see one single episode of these shows, we've seen all of them, what's the point ?
With so much jejune programming on TV, you would think that a well-written, well- acted, highly original looking and sophisticated comedy (which, to me, is more gut-wrenching drama then comedy) would appeal to the viewers. But, I guess "Ugly Betty" is too complex a show for the people's attention span. And, as far as Ms. Williams' performance during the course of the series- she's been superlative. But then, everything she does is so. Vanessa is the consummate performer. - Gary L. Rollins
I agree with 100% and I don't watch much television...But, Ugly Betty was very well written and well cast... I have loved Vanessa since day 1..her resilience and her intelligence is her beauty notwithstanding, her looks are amazing but she encompasses such a broad scope of talent and wit...she always smiles no matter what and the Lady keeps working... Forget the critics and ratings The show was pretty good and Vanessa will march right on...
Why WHY do they cancel good shows? Why would you move a show that people like to a different time slot? Well now with Netflix you can watch anytime. BUY TO TV they destroyed themselves.
