This is amazing i was born in 1999 currently 25 so seeing this is an awesome experience since i wasn't born around this time Eaglehawk and Bendigo looks so different to now
This should be viral. Not only were you ahead of your time making the kind of video that UA-cam is now famous for, but you had exceptional taste in driving an Italian exotic from 1970. I wonder how many Fiat's were around in the 70's and 80's in Aus. You Sir, win the internets. Before the Internet even existed.
@@NoRelationToNed You're quite welcome. Well deserved. Did you have a particular audience in mind when you recorded this? You even say "hello world" before there was actual world exposure lol
@@624radicalham In another video, my "1985 drive through Melbourne" the first leg of that weekend trip, I had my sister with me, but there was no audio coz I forgot to plug the mic in. By
Great video, I only wish it went for longer. I was born in Bendigo (White Hills) in 1972 and lived there till I was 17. If this video was filmed in 1985, I would’ve been 13 and living there! 😉
This video is included in my new split screen upload showing the 1985 drive alongside the 2010, it is a lot easier to see the changes - although I had to insert a lot of pauses to keep some semblance of sync-ing because the trip takes a lot longer these days and we used to drive a lot quicker then!

Only sedans, utes and panel vans, not a damn SUV in site. Bloody beautiful!
Fuckin' Oath
Living in Bendigo seeing this video was pretty surreal. My thanks to past you.

Why thank you for that feedback!

It's now 2022. I do the Eaglehawk Rd trip almost daily. It's still largely all recognisable.
It's like travelling in time!
Wow, I'm a bendigo resident nowadays and it's amazing to see the changes. For example, where are all the roadside trees? Thanks for sharing this mate.
This is amazing. Bendigo from the year of my birth!
It's changed a lot

None of this looks recognisable now... good lord.
This video stops at the very exact place near the cathedral where a guy from Numurkah did an illegal u-turn into the side door of my Celica.
