    "it was a joke!"... uhh... what part of that was said jokingly or even implied it was a joke.
    This is like when those idiotic youtube "pranksters" assault someone and then say "it was a joke!" when they fight back.
    No, it wasnt a joke. You said that deadly serious as a news report. Dear me

    Dennis Skinner is 83 years old!!. 83 years old!! Yet he's still as sharp and as principled as he ever was. He looks 20 years younger. Even if you don't agree with his politics (which I do) you have to respect the man just for that. How many other 83 year olds do you know that are still as active and as influential as Dennis Skinner?, plus with the responsibilities that he has?. Also, the way he walks away at the end shows just how fucking rock n roll he is!. Absolute legend.

    that victoria derbyshire pile of shite was also on the spin tip. they don't seem interested in the real facts - but little soundbites that sound good. even in the face of the person saying something quite clearly, they still go into autobot mode and spout the line that they want to say anyway, even if it was clear from the interview that wasn't the case.

    Yes, it was spin, because it's not "breaking news' that Skinner wouldn't take a job on the front bench...it was "breaking news' only in 1976, 39 years ago, when he said then he didn't want any job on the front bench.

    what a legend Dennis is! :D
    I won't agree with him that the BBC were "working for Murdoch" from they way they portrayed it, that was probably more targeted at their day to day reporting of stuff, but it was another example of the way even the BBC (the previously unimpeachable Guardian are doing likewise) of having to sensationalise everything, as all news needs "tarting up..."

    • @RichardSmart8
      @RichardSmart8 9 років тому +3

      +LKeet6 agreed - its reporting style issue which hopefully the BBC will lose the need to apply should the Tories get dropped for this new kinda politics. I'm not even sure she consciously knew she was doing it to be honest - although lets face it she wasn't writing a headline she was just closing off an interview which most people will have watched too anyway. Amused by Skinner picking it up and yelling about it though - great to see. Wouldn't it be great if news could go back to just being news?
