Thank you DK and Chris. They got a lot of work to do. The defense needs to adjust when TJ Watt is being doubled teamed. Most important the offensive line needs to open those run lanes. I hope to see better play calling. Great show guys
YOU BILL COWHER FAN BOYS ALWAYS ACT LIKE COWHER WAS BILL BELICHICK 😂😂😂 JUST STOP THIS OLD TIRED NARRATIVE. COWHER HAD BAD COACHING GAMES AND BAD COACHING SEASONS. ALSO.
@ tell me when was the last time overrated tomlin took a mediocre team with a mediocre qb to division games 5 times before ben y’all fake out of town fans are weird 🤣
DK, you could help your O-line by fooling opposing defenses in your play calling. How about loosening up the defenses by throwing a moon ball on play number one or a couple short quick 5 yard pass plays on first and second down instead of being 2nd and 10 or 3rd and 8. How about being 2nd and 5 or 3rd and 2?
J1Q: So with these 2nd 9 runs, time management issues, not effectively using our limited amount of weapons and this constant “we just need to execute” who actually holds Tomlin accountable? Does anyone challenge him internally? What about outside the coaching staff? I say this because it just seems like we all can recognize these issues week in and week out but are we supposed to accept that Tomlin and company doesn’t know this? We should see more of Pat and notice the change immediately instead of banging our heads against the wall. I’m done ranting but who speaks up to him? I say this as a Tomlin believer but some of this just drives me crazy. Am I nuts? 😂
I’ve been a fan a loooong time and these last 8+ seasons have drained me as a fan. It’s Groundhog Day. If I’ve learned anything it’s to not waste time stressing about wins and losses! The Steelers are the Steelers.
We are going to need at least 38 points I think to win Sunday, has anyone looked at Burrows stats? Holy shit! And he is getting Higgins back! He is going to tear our D apart!!! We need lots of points to win!
I wondered the same thing about Ryan McCollum. He played so well while he was in there. I don’t think they do have a better tackle than Broderick Jones. Broderick plays very well at times but also makes the same mistakes over and over.
Also WHO CARES! I understand the play that is called doesn’t work in the red zone. Idc how they score in the red zone just score! A tud is a tud! Love the show!
To piggyback off the J1Q caller: yes there are a bunch of players on this team with chips on their shoulders.. Russ, Queen, Najee, Williams, Jackson, Bishop just to name a few!! Makes for good football when players have something to prove!
Mike Williams anyone?? 1 target in 3 games. How do you have these kinds of struggles in the red zone with Pickens, Freiermuth, Washington and Williams? #18 is the highest paid WR by far. Maybe he’s totally washed I don’t know…
i think for the last handfull of years, too much emphasis is put on "execution". i remember plays last year from jones where he was chopping his feet as he approached his block assignments on pull blocks, which didn't create the momentum or force when he arrived to make the block to move/relocate the defender. "Technique" is fine and dandy with pass blocking and probably most important, but run blocking i think should be done with a emphasis on "physicality" first and foremost. I have yet to hear that word "physicality" been uttered once, or lack there of. I watched a video highlighting mekal bectum(sp), the jets former tackle who signed with phillyu, now playing guard, and he was the pinnacle of run blocking, no "technique" style of blocking, but a very large man with the intention of bashing who ever he was to block, with grown man determination and intent to smack whoever in the jaw, not with the intent to "technique" block(to simply gain a deterrent/shield off a tackler to create a lane/etc. the philly podcaster did comment that his pass blocking could be better, which imo, would imply he needed to learn the "technique" of pass blocking from the guard position, which to me makes sense when referring to pass blocking. But run blocking, seems to require mostly physicality, being the aggressor and needing to relocate 300 plus pound men. I remember seeing tape of jones and washington at geogia both out running with bad intent to hit/block their defenders, where is that jones at? i see more of, like i said the "technique" choppy feet jones approaching his run block assignments, as well as the rest of the linemen. imo,, a angry im coming to smash you with bad intent/physicality approach would produce a more effective running game, blowing up holes/grown man violent approach, if you will, would work better than the techniquy "im going to shield you off/box you out scheme that just doesn't bring the physicality needed to relocate the defenders well enough, if they played to just lay the wood on the defender, instead of trying to "technique" them better, they would have better results. This "idea" of course leads back to the backup center, being at detroit, "physicality" is how detroit runs the ball, which, also, the other thing ive noticed, no more highlights of mccormick playing with that "physicality" edge, since the bye either, huh? Im not bagging on frazier, he's gonna probably have a great career, but ryan's "physicality" mentality he brought from detroit, right line adjustments, all those nuances i believe rubbed off some on the mentality of the rest of the line, yes, frazier manhandles guys himself, no doubt, but i feel the approach of "technique" is flawed in successful run blocking, and the right line reads on "every" play, makes the argument for ryan, if this is a win season goal, they should have stuck with ryan at center, i had hoped they would bring back frazier at right guard personally, that you shouldn't change things when they are operating better than they have in recent years, we all know what we saw, we were all talking and excited about how "explosive" najee was and wowed by his runs. now we are back to "hard earned yardage najee", because those holes aren't there again. Now, i know they wont put ryan back in, they are too stubborn, we learned that with dotson already not allowing the man to get a shot at his natural position, he reminded us every year about, but, mekal in philly, he didn't pan out as a tackle, so they tried him at guard, and wow, the opposite of stubbornness can sometimes be most productive in game, not envisioned beliefs/stubbornness, if winning "now" is the goal, you go to the vet over the rookie until that was proven not real imo. imagine, "explosive najee"! almost seems like a dream or something nowadays again, not najee's fault either at all imo, give najee some big holes where defenders are blowed out and not just "screened off", and he's a top 5 rb in this league imo. m sorry for the book comment.
levon bell was a very special rb, he had elite vision and patience, and in his prime could make a "technique" style run blocking work, waiting until the "screens" were set, traditional backs(the 99%) of backs need "holes" to hit, bell's line back then didn't blow open holes, but his uniqueness made the technique scheme work awesome, munchak coached that "technique" style because of bell's elitism, imo, i would bet if he was still here, more emphasis would nowadays be put towards physicality, to match the rb's skills currently and the approach towards blocking, to create the right recipe to run the ball effectively js
Hi DK, The problem is Tomlin and has been Tomlin, he plays the game scared, playing no to loose but never with the win mentality. In Cleveland they score 2 TD to go ahead and after that he decided to run Najee again trying no to risk anymore. Yes he played to 4th downs and didn’t complete anyone because MIKE WILLIAMS is in the bench, what tha head is going on. Bad decitions all over the offense. Yes the OL played bad but this isn’t an excuse. Enough of this guy.
I really think they should resign daniels next year as Isaac isn't playing that great and he's in his 30s and only has 1 year left on his contract. Unless mccollum can switch over to guard next year. Brod actually didn't have a bad game against the browns. It was v dumb on coaching to not help moore more - should have had Washington on his side & they better do that against Henderson vs bengals!
Somebody gotta say it “ FIRE Tomlin” the top man is always held accountable ! O yea except the Romney rule which gave us 18 years of mediocrity but if that’s what the Rooney’s want that what the fans get but not me haven’t watched a steeler game during MT tenure
To insinuate that the Steelers are playing their best 5 on OL is assanine enough. To suggest Ryan Mcollum should be in instead of Frazier is just assanine. Whoopie, the Steelers had good days the two games Mcollum started. Yeah you didn't mention those games were against the Jets and Giants, two bottom feeders. The nonsense with Fields also needs to stop. I don't understand the infatuated with him. Bad things happen more often than good when he is playing and fans just ignore it Great, he scrambled out for 30 on one drive. He also killed 2 with his incompetence. Dude ran right into the teeth of the D in that 4th down run. And the failed run with Warren, the one that was rushed. Whose responsibility does everyone think it is to make sure everyone is set If they were not ready it's in Fields stop falling for the occasional run, he doesn't belong an an NFL field
DK who is the head coach??? That’s all you need to know. Making a change for the better of the play of the team he is not looking at to make better. Sometimes too much knowledge is bad for some people and he’s one of them.
I do like hearing the conversation about Frazier, I don't know jack about what is really good o-line play or not. I just hear from the vids and other media. It seems like maybe coaching from Meyer is a problem. What has Ramon said about it this year?
Yes, enjoy where we are, BUT,if we have the potential to be special, why not push to be as great as we have the potential to be!!! The play calling is absolutely atrocious, AGAIN!!! can we be honest without being "critical"??
Just letting everyone know: We'll have a special, extra-length Ramon Foster live show Wednesday at 2 p.m. Eastern! -
Thank you DK and Chris. They got a lot of work to do. The defense needs to adjust when TJ Watt is being doubled teamed. Most important the offensive line needs to open those run lanes. I hope to see better play calling. Great show guys
I love this perspective from DK! We need the media calling out issues we glaringly have and not ignoring things when we win or lose.
We only needed four yards...😫
Yep after the interception , they should of been able to run the clock out
Our 6ft 3 250 pound running back needs to BE BETTER@@marcderogatis8513
Thank you, DK. That's what I've been screaming about. Use your best players in the Red Zone it's driving me up the wall!!!
It’s deja vu from last year when the guys swore every week that they just needed to execute better, no issues with play design or play calls,.
It been deja vu since bill cowher retire tomlin it’s the most overrated of all times

Don't hold your breath for this team. Not worth it.

The challenge is, how is the line supposed to improve when the defense know what you are going to run
DK Nobody gave the Steelers any hope of being here now but here we are 🎉 Enjoy it while you can DK😅
Seems like we talked about that alot last season. "Teams know what's coming."
J1Q: So with these 2nd 9 runs, time management issues, not effectively using our limited amount of weapons and this constant “we just need to execute” who actually holds Tomlin accountable? Whatever line up wins this game come hell or high water stick with it and do it again consistently
Regarding the offense, whatever happened to the training camp motto "No Tells"?!?!?
I’ve been a fan a loooong time and these last 8+ seasons have drained me as a fan. It’s Groundhog Day. If I’ve learned anything it’s to not waste time stressing about wins and losses! The Steelers are the Steelers.
What you see is what you get. These guys are too young no experience. This line needs another season together to be better. 🇨🇦
That's not what was said
We'll see Sunday!
We are going to need at least 38 points I think to win Sunday, has anyone looked at Burrows stats? Holy shit! And he is getting Higgins back! He is going to tear our D apart!!! We need lots of points to win!
DK it’s the tackles on the line that’s the issue and what is sad about that? We took two back to back in the first round!
I wondered the same thing about Ryan McCollum. He played so well while he was in there. I don’t think they do have a better tackle than Broderick Jones. Broderick plays very well at times but also makes the same mistakes over and over.
Remember one of Arthur Smith’s criticisms in Atlanta was that he didn’t use his playmakers. We might be seeing the same.
Interesting point. Hard to know if Tomlin or Smith is deciding the personnel and/or play call.
The recievers don't keep working to get open after their route.
Also WHO CARES! I understand the play that is called doesn’t work in the red zone. Idc how they score in the red zone just score! A tud is a tud! Love the show!
I still believe in, the best player should be on the field..
I think we all fear this game is gunna do what commanders did for the bears. It could change the end of season
One issue with the oline is Myers, his coaching style is college level run-n-shoot. Get Munchack back asap
Are we really shocked that the guy who didn’t use Kyle pitts and Bijaan Robinson in Atlanta isn’t using our best players?
Wednesday's J1Q! Thanks, Adam! - Dejan
Negative one yard and a cloud of snow.
"we need need to clean up some things defensively in the red zone and some things defensively in the red zone..."... please...

They loved green too
Gonna have to FIX a lot of STUFF in the 2025 NFL DRAFT! More O-LINE top Draft picks needed!
Cause the last 2 are working out great
Hit the like button! 😂
Mike Williams anyone?? 1 target in 3 games. How do you have these kinds of struggles in the red zone with Pickens, Freiermuth, Washington and Williams? #18 is the highest paid WR by far. Maybe he’s totally washed I don’t know…
Broderick Jones picked a bad time to regress. Losing Fautanu and Daniels hurt worse. This offense goes as the Offensive line goes...
Broderick Jones played the best on that Line, Dan Moore and Isaac got worked.
DK! How bad can Dan Moore really be at RT? Switch him and jones at least for a practice lol

"... offensively in the red zone*..."
I thought this offense was over after Canada got fired , but here we are again run , run , pass , i have had enough of this crap .
Incoming typical late season implosion. 11 win team at most
And give Mike Williams some targets .. 5 atleast
What did Dan Moore have to say since he was literally the worst lineman last week?
What do you want him to say I suck You say line is a problem. Ok how do you fix it ?
Look at are three losses. Colts, dallas, browns. All sub par teams
👍🏼
Hey, Hoge! Where you been? -
@DKPS_Steelers back at work after year and a half rotator cuff surgery and physical therapy. Rarely catch a live show anymore 😔.
@@hoge3115 You were missed, my dude! Nice to see you again! -
Jones looked better than the rest of line
Conner is only good for a couple penalties on the few plays he has been in. What are we doing? #88 get him the ball
Wouldn't allowing Russ to Quarterback Sneek help the short yardage and red zone efficiency?
Tomlin’s lack of ability to adjust EVER to ANYTHING is actually a small miracle at this point
Dumb thing to say
