So Jeonghan is the guy that turned into a nightmare, and when he's invading people's dreams and turning them bad, he's taking up the space Wonwoo had made for himself by appearing in people's dreams and giving them everything they wanna see, which is what makes sure he is always remembered and talked about. Jeonghan traps them in nightmares where Wonwoo doesn't exist, and that's Wonwoo's biggest concern, biggest fear. So he starts this hunt after Jeonghan so he can both reclaim his place as some kind of "dream-maker" and also free Jeonghan, since he wasn't always like that. This is also not the easiest conclusion since it's a bit hard to get there from the MV alone, but the first concept trailer or something made it make a lot more sense for me.

So this is based as the album says on the urban legend of THIS MAN, a man that can appear in peoples dreams and gives them advice. They are both this man, both of them can manipulate dreams. So my take is jeonghan puts everyone to a sleep with sweet dreams. Basically hes creating his world away from the harsh reality hes running from where he is sad with all the people wearing the bedsheets. You can see the lights go out and how some buildings are covered when he does this. Wonwoo hears the people talking beside the vanding machine about someone who can make your wish come true at the beginning. He sees the people sleeping and wakes them up after giving them comfort. Both of them go through the door into the dream world and wonwoo starts chasing jeonghan, he eventually finds him in someones dream but jeonghan turns into dust to escape. So wonwoo keeps waking up everyone jeonghan puts to sleep. At the end when they finally meet, jeonghan falls to his knees at the same time the last building is unveiled and the lights are working everywhere in the city meaning wonwoo woke everyone up. I believe this last scene takes place into the dream world and by touching jeonghan and him collapsing, wonwoo actually wakes him up. That lamonade its the only thing coloured throughout the whole mv and all the people drink it after being woken up represents wonwoo making all of them face their reality even if its bitter. The last part where jeonghan is drinking lamonade, finally facing reality after running from it for so long its just ✨. Also theres a poster with "have you seen this man" on the street when people are walking by wonwoo, i believe its the same one from the teaser, it was half jeonghan and half wonwoo. Wonwoo said Jeonghan forgets his purpose so this is why he had to wake him up. Fun fact, nox its another name for nyx the goddess of night and it means darkness/night in latin, they are basically emphasising the song at the same time. This was what i came up with after watching the mv many times cause it was a little confusing at first. Hope im not wrong and this helps :) I loved the cinematography for this, the storyline and the music its just top notch. That guitar with the base and them singing in lower range almost wishpering at times adds to the atmosphere so much✨

I love it so much! PD there are b-sides (one Jeonghan solo and one Wonu solo) and an audio book explaining the story more! I think it would be great to see you react to the teasers and promo as well since the story stems really well from them

I strongly recommend you watch the teasers. They released a Prologue Film and an Audiobook teaser. Those two really give insight into the story and the concept, and they are amazing and just so beautifully made. And PD, you have to listen to the b sides FOR SURE! They each get one. Jeonghan's 'Beautiful Monster' is also hauntingly beautiful in the sense that, the music is very chill and pop-y, but the lyrics are darker. Whereas Wonwoo's 'Leftover' is a sweet, desperate ballad. Boy did a BALLAD! Both are phenomenal

The instrumentation and some of the specific samples reminded me of NU'EST W's sound, which is understandable, since Bumzu is credited on this song, but man, I miss NU'EST so much. You can imagine Baekho singing all over that chorus 😭
